i watched it all happen getting ready for work,,i was never the same person again:(:( i then realized about 99% of all the terrorist attacks carried out against us were by muslims.its then i knew we were in a war,a war with no end in sight.keep the faith brothers stay vigilent, this aint over!!and many prayers for the 9-11 victims and their famalies.also for the vets who gave it all in iraq and afghanistan:thumbup:

A knife forum is no place for a thread like this.

This is the Busse Combat forum, not general knife discussion. Busse prides themselves in being a patriotic company, and the owner of said company has already posted in this thread. It looks as if this forum is a fine spot for a 9/11 tribute.

From Canada.

Second year into my art college in Alberta, Canada. I remember arriving at school, and saw everyone sitting in main lobby, where they wheeled in three TVs, which everyone was watching. They were all turned to different major American news channels. I didn't immediately understand what was going on. I debated whether I should stop and watch, or just get to my class, as I was a bit late that day. Then I spotted my classmate, watching the TVs. I went over and asked what was going on. He told me the class was cancelled. He told me to watch. I did. I saw a smake rising from this tall building, impossibly thick, rising so high into the sky. I asked myself 'where is that?' but I didn't want to ask, as everyone was quiet, much too quiet for art students.
Then I saw one of the camera shot veer off, and I saw an airplane, large, like them Boeings. It was so close to that other tower.

The impact was soundless. But not our screams and loud gasps.

Only then I realized what I was watching.

I didn't stay to watch the rest. And I am glad. I don't think I would have handled all those horrible images well.

Suffice to say, I didn't get much work done that day.

Any forum is a place to show tribute to the events and effects of 9/11
It is not a forum to show ignorance.

I agree 100%, today is a day to honor and remember the fallen not to speculate on conspiracy theories...

I was in 11th grade in Highschool and I remember seeing the 2nd plane hit on tv.. It was creepy not seeing one plane in the sky the following days. The next morning at the bus stop I saw Airforce One fly over my house with 2 F16's? on each wing.
Never Forget..Never Forgive

I think a 9/11 tribute thread is a repugnant, obnoxious place to air your half witted conspiracy theories. Have some respect and decency, because as of now, you're showing none.

repugnant indeed.

as for me, I was awakened by phone call from a nearly hysterical girlfriend who'd just seen the fist plane hit as she had the news on anyway - her opening statement was something to the effect of "we're under attack by terrorists" which was a jarring way to wake up to say the least.

I bounded out of bed, turned on the television, called in and took the day off, and watched the rest unfold while I wrestled with containing the rage and sadness and other emotions. I haven't been the same since. Visiting ground zero is something everyone should do if they get the chance.

I was in my office at work. I remember very vividly hearing the report on the radio and then turning on the TV to watch the reports as they came in. Didn't get anything done that day except praying for our country and those involved in the tragedy. It's hard to believe it's been 9 years ago.

I do have a small suggestion. Many Americans these days don't really believe this, but I have to try anyway.
These terrorists... Let's not legitimize them by calling them Muslims. They are not. They have never been. They use their religion to hide behind, and launch their hatred.
I amd not a muslim. I am a simple christian, brought up with fear of God, and to hate sins, but not sinners.
But I also know people who are muslims. They don't understand these terrorists, either. None of these muslims I know knows anything about fundamental radicalism. They are simple people who are polite to a fault, and rspectful of their neighbours.
Let us call these terrorists for what they ought to be called.

Criminals.

hisknife,,i respect your opinion but strongly disagree...
ive studied islam for years and i dont know of any other religion or movement that creates such insanity everywhere it goes.look around,,,africa, indonesia, the middle east, england and the list goes on.hatred intolerance and death always follow.i am a chistian also but i cant blind myself to evil.i know there are nice muslims but they are all being taught from the same book so you gotta wonder....

This thread is giving me chills.

I was awakened by a phone call - one of the toughest, hardest, badazzes that I know was crying and told me "We're under attack. They hit New York" and to turn on the TV. I did so just in time to see the second plane hit. My roommate had received a similar call and we both just sat there, speechless and dumbfounded.

G-d bless everyone who lost their lives or their loved ones that day. Never Forget.

What if people apply same argument to Christianity? People have, and continue to teach hatred by claiming it is from God and bible. But I don't know which version of Bible they are reading. I don't know their god, cause my God and my Lord told me not to hate, that vengeance is his and his alone.

I am sure you have read about Muslims over the years. And I am not defending Muslims one way or another. It is everyman's heart which will decide what is and isn't acceptable. But once you generalize a culture, then you are abt to be subjected to same opinions.

I condemn the event of 9/11 as perpetrated by mass murderers and criminals, without value for human life and its sanctity. They committed that heinous act for their own selfish and idiotic ideal, just as a common criminal does. Ans that's all they ever will be.

Please keep on topic. :) No need for the political or religious aspects of this tragedy...that's a slippery slope into a very deep rabbit hole... And there is certainly no need for harebrained conspiracy theory allegations nor whining about losing rights under the Patriot Act today.

This thread is to remember 9/11/01, and the horrific events of that day... :(

Thank you. Carry on.

I had an early doctors appointment down the street from the WTC. The first plane hit as I was getting in my car. I watched the whole thing from about two blocks away. It was horrible and I wish it never happened. We are still suuffering because of the insanity of a small minority. I hope nothing like this happens again in my lifetime!!!!

A member of our church had a relative who lived in New York at the time. He used to work in WTC. That day, he couldn't get to work because of a car trouble. With sorrow and grief for those who lost their lives, also hapiness and amazement for those who were spared miraculously. I have other storeys such as this. I hope I can, after all these years, still hear some storeys of how people escaped this terrible fate.

I agree, and even if people believe that it was a conspiracy or inside job, i think it is important to remember the lives needlessly lost and families affected by it. The building 7 event was really strange, I think a lot of people would agree on that, but a patriotic person has to be willing to be on the side of the good people that died, and against the enemies, whether they were foreign or domestic. I had just gotten out of a Business Calc. class and heard the news when I turned my radio on in the car. Then I saw the second plane hit on t.v. right when I got home. I was in disbelief, it didn't seem real to me at first. I will never forget it.

Ask C.I.A. where they were .

Never forget that no plane ever hit Building 7.

Where was I? I was enjoying the rights that the Patriot Act took from me.

A knife forum is no place for a thread like this.

Unfriggin believable is all I'll say! If I tell you what I really think of you two I'll be infracted, at the least:mad:

Very very sorry Jaxx, but those REALLY got to me, esp on this day.

A friend had stoped by, and the TV was off. When they got to the bottom of my driveway they called and told me to turn on the TV after hearing on radio something was going on at the Trade Center.
I turned it on before the second plane hit. It seemed very surreal, and almost as if it was a bad dream. I was glued to the TV for days still finding it hard to belive what had just happened.
Like most, i still think of it most everyday. Never get it out of my head, and don't want to. The one thing I wish i could forget though are the ones jumping from the building...that still gives me chills(and makes me angry) just thinking about it.
I did think my anger over it would get better over time, but it hasn't one bit.

NEVER forget, and NEVER forgive!!!

Thanks for starting the thread Alex.
