NEVER sell...

Glad it arrived promptly! Btw it's a little pocket linty lol if I had some compressed air I would've blown it out for you!
Hope you get tons of use out of it!
Derek

I gave my unused digicam PM2 to my brother for his birthday only to pick up another in black plus a KnifeCenter one.

I would say my "never-sell" would be knives that have been given to me as gifts and have sentimental value, such as these 3:
1. I have an old Schrade that my grandfather gave me very many years ago.
2. I have a Benchmade Cub and Spyderco Bradley Folder that my wife gave me.

Derek- Oh, I will use this one. She's in my pocket. ;)
Thanks guys.
Yea, those special knives, you just keep. One of my special folders is an AG Russell Red Cowboy prototype that A. G. gifted me.
Thank you, A. G.

I feel the same way. I sold mine and got a southard cause I wanted to try cts-204p. Now I'm thinking of selling the southard and seeing if I can snatch up a cts-204p paramilitary

This thread made me chuckle. Hadn't carried my Para in moons since my Military and PPT have kicked it out of my pocket. I'm getting an itch for other stuff and thought about selling it until i took it out earlier in the week and remembered what a great folder it is. Just got the diamond stones for my sharpmaker too and the para loves them!

Sell my Para 2? Either of them?? Why on earth would I do that???

I have a few folders I wouldn't sell, and the 2 Para's are top of that list.

Maybe they're not for everyone, fair enough, but they are definitely for me.

Dang it. As you know, I've had my pm2 up for trade. After reading this I'm compelled to keep her.... Oh decisions

lol!
Thanks guys.
I now actually like the P2 better than the P1.
weech3- Keep 'er!!

I had Para 2 green in CTS-204P but sold it ,did not like the overall feel and size,(compared to my number one Spyderco-Gayle Bradley). Now I'am thinking of getting one in M390 with some Cuscadi scales. That one should stay with me.:)

I will always have at least one Para 2 in my collection. I can't get over how good the compression lock is. Now if only they'd put it on more knives...

The only problem I had with the para, is when I thumb the blade open my index finger gets pinched bye the compression lock. So I don't regret selling it, actually if don't regret selling any knives as of now. The chase and the hunt is a lot of fun.

Hi Al!
Yea, the key here is to have fun and enjoy knives.
As much as I love the chisel blade, Sal's unorthodox Para blade shape and the famous blade hole is just hard to beat.

All my Para 2's are sprints and it would break my heart to sell any of them. You never know what twists and turns life will throw at you.The Para 2 has to be one of the most popular models that are Golden produced.

I've owned 3 Para 2s. First was the original VG10. Loved it, but sold it when I scored one of the gray 20CP sprints. Carried that one for about a year, and on the strength of my fondness for it, ordered the blue M390 version. Then I pretty much abandoned PMs for Regular Sebenzas. Sold my 2 Paras to fund lefty Regulars and carried those exclusively for about a year. Then I suddenly realized how much I miss the Paras. Kicked myself for getting rid of those 2 rare ones, especially as they were perfect in terms of lock up and blade play. I just bought a green one NIB on the Exchange for probably more than I should have paid, but I'm delighted with it. It doesn't quite do it for me aesthetically as much as my Sebenzas, but man does it perform in terms of cutting ability and ergonomics. The green scales are about my favorite PM color so far. The blade came super sharp and so far seems to be holding up amazingly.

I must be the odd man out. Neither the Para nor the Military ever did it for me, I just sold/traded my last 2. For me the Spyderco "leaf" shape is where it's at! I know the paras/millies are great though!
