Glad that you could get one Darren .There were definitely a few SFOs from this run that I wasn't able to grab that really wish I could have. Honestly, of the 28 variations this run I wouldn't mind having all but maybe 4-5 of them. Barry's smooth bone turned out great, the green bone with boot shield really grew on me and would love to have one of those, Mike's red sawcut bone I think looks amazing, the Circle A yellow bone...what an epic run (for those of us who like the 14 pattern).
All of the other amazing SFOs that I wanted I was able to acquire. Except one...Lyle's. What a knife.
I just didn't know how to get in on that one when the time came to reserve them and figured it was, much like the TCs, basically unobtanium for me. I am also seriously tapped out after this run so budget has been a concern. However, I reached out to Lyle recently about his stories and his SFO and future reserves, etc. He seems like such a cool guy I was beyond happy that he responded and entertained my questions. I figured, at best, I could at least get added to his contact list and would be able to get in on whatever the next SFO might be.
And then I got an invoice today!!!!!!!!! I think Lyle's SFO turned out truly stunning and I just couldn't pass up the opportunity. I am feeling so blessed right now.
Thank you Lyle for keeping me in mind

Those two Northfields turned out great though.Yes, Lyle's looks pretty amazing, and probably the one that I'll most wish I'd gotten in on. However, I snagged the two I most wanted... an amazing 2 blade stag and the antique yellow... neither of which did I suspect I'd end up with. So I'm happy with this run!
Matt - FYI - I asked to get put on list for any extras some days ago and got email today from Lyle that "I'm selling a few more if interested - first come, first serve..." and his paypal address. I scored. Color me happy Texan.Yes, Lyle's looks pretty amazing, and probably the one that I'll most wish I'd gotten in on. That is exactly my opinion also . IMO It was all about getting the First Run of those Tang Stamps . Covers have nothing to do with it .Old Engineer
The tang stamps on the Cripple Creek and Lick Creek, in my opinion, separate those from the rest of the SFO's.
That is great !!!I was able to snag a Lick Creek finally as well! Woo hoo! It was really the only one I wanted from this run other than a TC.
what a beaut! too bad its bigger brother is nigh unobtanium
Anyone on Lyle's list not get an invoice yet?

Harry, I'm pretty new to this hobby. Is it your feeling that these tang stamps will make these more collectible for some future value. Or just make them more interesting to you personally to have the unique / first run stamps in your collection? That is exactly my opinion also . Edited to add : I also wanted some First Run Northfield 14
Harry
I think your best shot at a clip blade 15 frame TC Barlow is to look for a peach seed jigged bone.
I’m excited for these 14 barlows but it is a small knife. I’ve never carried or used a 14 so this will be my first.
I really wish we could have gotten a two blade TC Barlow on the 14 frame.
I would think that they would be more valuable to future collectors , but I really do not care about that because I Do Not see me ever selling them . They always are however only worth what someone else will pay for them . My Heirs may someday , but not me . Personally as a small collector who does not collect enough to set a trend , I like to collect GEC's , Northfields , and GEC First Runs . I have 2 of the 2016 Tidioute 14's . The kicker for me is that I want to buy them new when they are released . I also personally really like the very interesting Tang Stamps of Cripple Creek and Lick Creek . The fact that the Lick Creeks are Lyle's is also a real plus .Harry, I'm pretty new to this hobby. Is it your feeling that these tang stamps will make these more collectible for some future value. It is a beautiful color, but so, so tiny. Why couldn't they have been 15s!?!? Ah well, my budget couldn't handle all of the ones that look outstanding anyhow. I'll just sit here and stare at your beautiful example.
