New 2015 ZT lineup

I had an elmax blade from another manufacture come with a crack where the thumbstud was pressed in and I sent it back and they replaced it.
I Googled "Elmax problems" and I saw your thread. It was one of the very few threads that detailed a real issue with an Elmax blade. There's no doubt in my mind that what you said happened to you actually did happen to you. But I don't have anywhere near that level of confidence in the claim ShepardCC made in this thread. Nothing I've seen or read points to the kind of failure rate he said he experienced. I'm going to need to see some proof from him or a statement from Bohler Uddeholm indicating that Elmax is prone to the kind of failures he claimed before I believe it.

I have not seen an elmax blade crack either. Sure didnt see it happen or hear of it happening three times. My only issue with elmax was with a very early 0560. It dulled very easily yet was impossible to sharpen. I have never sharpened a knife that resisted abrasion as much as it did. Zt replaced it and none of my elmax blades have given me trouble since from zt or any other maker.

The 0452CF is the best looking regular production ZT knife I have seen in years. It is an exceptional value with amazing specs.

Indeed.

The 0452CF is perhaps the best looking production ZT ever! Wish the clip had a little more pizazz.

At a street price of $220 it's a remarkable value considering CF, titanium frame lock, KVT, S35VN, nice pivots and only 4.6 ounces for a 4.1" blade!

I too am impressed with the 0452CF. At a closed length of 5.2 inches, however, it's just too long for me to carry comfortably. I wish the 0450 had been a scaled down version of the 0452CF. Not that there's anything wrong with the 0450 in its current configuration, of course, but I would have preferred a CF scale on it. And I know I'm not alone in feeling that way.

How about this one?

I have a few pieces coming in tomorrow of a very limited run of 0801's in S110V , by the looks of the photos they sent, they are stonewashed handles and blades. The MSRP on this one is $350, I will be selling them at MAP of $280 shipped.

It seems as though most are excited about the Sinkevich collabs, but the 0900 may be THE EDC knife for me! I love Les George's designs, and a less expensive ZT produced model with bearings and a lock insert is near perfection. I hope everyone else focuses on the other models so I can be one of the first to snatch up a 0900:D

Very interesting! From KAI/ZT? Do you have pictures?

Hear us ZT

So...

I read this entire thread and not once did I hear any estimate regarding what "coming soon" means. Has ZT offered any kind of estimated release date on any of these knives? I am most interested in any info on when the 0452CF might hit the market.

- ZT no longer provides delivery estimates. You'll most likely hear about the actual release date from dealers who are about to receive a shipment.

In the video from Shot Show, one of the ZT Reps says mid-year. The problem is that he doesn't say which year! ;)

LOL! I feel the same! I have been considering a Protech Rockeye for a long time but I don't care for autos and like to carry left and right side so I have never pulled the trigger. But the 0900 has me very excited. At first I loved the design but its small size threw me off, but after watching EVERY video and picture that featured the 0900 I have come under its spell and must provide a loving home for it.. :D I can't wait to see some reviews. I really hope with so many focused on the other models that the 0900 will be readily available when they first come out.

I've mostly been watching Spyderco lately but man, that 0450 may be my first ZT blade ever ... love the clean look, Sinkevich lines are amazing, and those red stand-offs are totally suckering me in ... price seems kind of unreal for what you're getting

Think i might have to try that 0900. Finally a zt with a smaller blade!!! Been waiting for this for a while.
