New Al Mar line-up sneaked on Blade HQ

I was excited to see the Sere 2000 until I noticed they changed it to a flipper :-(

I've never had a flipper so can't really comment on that but i might buy a couple of knives from the new catalog, if only to save my Japan made Al-Mars...

Interesting to see that Kelly Worden will be back among the designers. If people can remember this person designed the WorTac, which was part of the knives sold by Al Mar in the 90's.

This design has now been licensed to Timberline (I have it, it is quite ok for the $29.95) and ETE (who bought Al Mar and sells the same design for $68.00. I don't have it)

In the picture above, what is the second knife from the top, with the Al Mar chop in gold in the handle? It's not in the new web site.

Well, the prices will certainly be more in line with what you're getting on those SEREs, at least. I remember last year at BLADE, there was a rep at their table and they had a SERE 2000 and they wanted like $440. I actually laughed and said "Nope, have a great day."
I paid only $112 for mine in 2000.
