What did you shoot the pics on, looks good, cant tell if its rust or a type of rock .

It's a metal part from my old tractor. Might have been a side panel or an oil pan or something.. Good for props for sure.

I agree with you the blade tang cut is a terrible design regardless of play or not

I wouldnt compare it to my customs or even production frame locks, as the tang cut is professional, unlike the albatros's, but thats the same on everyones ive seen so far, mine was perfect, a couple days of opening it and it developed play and audible rattling. I thought 99 bucks was a good deal too.


Open yours half way, and shade it back n forth, side to side like, and see if your blade stop rattles like mine, thats when I noticed mine had problems, cause I can grip mine "pushing the lock in further" and its solid. but I can feel the lock when I open it vibrate and its not even hitting the tang cause its cut away from it,

It looks like Boker narrowly missed hitting a home run with this knife. I want one so bad...but I'd be miserable with my purchase if it were to develop the blade play issues that 50% of people seem to be describing. 'Too bad, it's a nifty looking knife. Especially @ just a hundred bucks.

Benchmade as a larger titanium/g10 frame lock coming out under their HK line for 68 bucks the serrated versionn is already out but the plain edge should be soon, ive had good results with my Benchmade ti-fender so I expect this one so be executed well also

Pardon my necro, but I've been eyeing this knie lately and am just wondering if anyone has more recent experience with it. Has the tang angle/blade play issue been remedied on subsequent iterations?

I have a first gen albatross, I haven't had any issues besides that when it's closed the stop pin rattles a bit (no play though) and that it has a bit of a strong detent.
