New ASEK knife?

Soon...but it has a gas motor attached to it

Go old school then and make it with a pull line starter, that way you can advertise the cordage it comes with as an added feature. And a two cycle motor so that you can use leaking kerosene and your own blood as a fuel mix.

Looks like a strange place to put a harness cutter, I think it might be OK if they put one on the back of the blade like a gut hook.

i think anytime you try to put too many tools on a fixed blade knife, you end up degrading the overall usefulness of the knife. sadly, nowadays, it's about gadgetry in the knife world. Even some of the stuff the military puts out for bid sometimes has a lot of dumbass ideas.

Amen!!!

In my experience with this type of knife, it is more of a tool than a "knife". I would give it a B- for a tool and a F+ for a knife (only reason for the + is it does have SOME cutting edge on it.) Like all tools there are certain ones that are better for certain jobs. If this is the only thing you had to try and get out of a crash I am sure with a lot of time and hard work you could free yourself, with the exception of severe entrapment. Hydraulic tools would do the job much faster but you don't always have that option. Don't knock it till you try it.

After looking at the picture it looks like the webbing cutter on that one has the blade damaged also. I think that may be the biggest flaw with that tool.
