New ATR Prototype Photos.

Please place the clip for TIP DOWN carry.

I will not carry a tip up knife cliped to pocket......sheath required.

What is that in the top right corner of the picture from the SHOTS show?
It looks like a sort of Gunting with a lower finger guard?

That is a prototype Szabo collaboration.

Looks great, but please make the clip Ambidextrious! Don't forget us lefties on this high-end model!

Up from the depths...

Any status on this knife? Estimated cost, etc.

Thanks in advance.

Wow. THe first thing I thought of when I saw that picture was the Jester.Anyone else think the same way?

the second picture looks much better, the triangular screw pattern for the clip seems to be better and the fact that it's now ambi is a definitely plus, i really have to praise spyderco for coming out with ambi models while most companies have very limited ambi models or none at all

Wanna tip down too....
It seems any folder larger than 3" blade makes it hard for me to open tip up....
And thanks for the shots Carlos

The plan is for tip up only. We couldn't get the clip to work well in all positions.

The cost will be high. More than liekily in the $250 range. The integral lock in Titanium is tough to do with a large knife.

The last one we broke was MBC rated.

With regards to the similarity between the ATR and the Jester. The ATR was actually designed first. Then the Jester. The index finger notch serves the same function on both models. The tip is also dagger ground through the middle on the ATR. On the Jester, the wider tip is also than the thinner tip on the ladybug.

Sounds good to me. The design is awesome. Couple that with S30V and an integral compression lock and you have one helluva knife. Put me down for 2!
