Some of you have been asking about the BRK&T H&C Knife.

Here’s an update form Mike Stewart:

Stay Tuned----------

H & C Knife info to Follow shortly.

Some Details:

…It is a combination of the Aurora Style handle--A little Smaller in height and a Drop Point Blade that is just a hair under 4 inches.

The Steel is A-2 but thinner than an Aurora--They will be about .150/.145.

The handle slabs are Contoured like the Aurora/Bravo-1 Etc.

Here is a Top View.

The Net Result is a very light knife that has a Blade that is legal to carry in all states and will take a pounding.

It should be equally as good for Hunting or Bushcraft.

As some of you know, this is a project that Kev Estela started on the Hiking & Camping sub-forum of that other knife forum.

Many people shared in its development, and testing was done (by some of us here) on it’s prototypes.

Mike Stewart promises some information on this knife soon.

The blade looks a bit like the Bravo-1 without the thumb ramp. Looks like a nice knife.

Not a bad analogy,

…a smaller, lighter version, ideal for backpacking or general bushcraft type duties.

I remember that knife.

There were two I believe?

Great cutters!

Looks like a real winner! Any idea on when it will be available for purchase? I'll need to start saving. :D

I really like the looks of that blade, could anyone who has handled this one comment on the relative size? Can't always tell from pics. Generally a big, hearty handle, or more small/sleek like the fox river/northstar? Or put another way, how's it feel to a big paw. :D

Looks very traditional with the added toughness of micarta. That may just be the ticket for me.

You wouldn`t have an even closer-up pic, would ya?

Tony,

Is there a plan to release the blade with the Fox River style fob or the Aurora style hole?

Those are both VERY handsome knives.

Are the scales as thick as your aurora?

TF

p.s. Tony - I saw your offer in my other thread about your Aurora - I am almost embarrased by your generosity - but I am thinking this new knife might be the ticket for me as I am a backpacker. Any word on price range?

No problem TF if you change your mind I am an easy guy to find.

I have no idea what BRKT'S plans are with this knife. I only handled the prototypes and for some reason I only could find pics of that one model. They were both similar, one had thicker scales which all the bigger guys liked and one had thinner scales which the smallfuchre's like me liked.

Maybe Mike or the some other guys can answer your question on what they are planning to release.

No word on price ...yet.

No pre-orders at this point.

Handle material?

Useful blade but doesn't do anything for me. Also handle is more like Aurora which doesn't fit me exactly. Would have liked to see something more unique.

Here's a photo of the two prototypes:
