My mother never saw the irony in calling me a son-of-a-bitch.

Yeah, that is bad ass. I got my new Mora in today. Sweet little blade. I didn't realize it was this stout. Wouldn't depend my life on it, but still a nice little knife.

Mora Companion MG, specs are carbon steel blade 3 7/8" long, 13/16" wide and .080" thick. It was a 2fer deal. Sweet little knife, really like it. Of course it's in OD. BTW, my Trail Hawk shipped today. Can't wait to mod that bad boy.

EDIT: Here's a few photos:

Hey, quick question: what do you guys actually use tomahawks for? Light duty chopping duties similar to machetes? Or can you actually use them similar to an axe?

I use mine as an ax, it beats batoning, no pun intended. I bought three throwers from H&B forge a few years ago. Two are dedicated throwers and one is a camping/utility hawk. I've used it quite a few times, but really my Machax would do the same job.

atoning present participle of a·tone
Verb: Make amends or reparation: "he was being helpful, to atone for his past mistakes

Yep, tomohawks used as axes beats atoning any day of the week. Four out of five dentists agree!:D

Ha, thanks Slapper for the English lesson! Can't believe my spellcheck knows "atoning" and not some of the other words I've had to teach it. I've fixed it.

I like this pic from yesterday. Looks like the boy and I are doing some synchronized paddling.
