It is pretty cool. I was on another forum, and saw some for sale. Never knew they existed before that. Then I come across these here the same day. It was destiny...

Hey guys, not sure this is the right place to put this but I didn't want to start a new thread just for a question. Is there a plan for any new beckers coming out, I keep hearing about tweeners but I have yet to see what they look like. Basically I want an bk 14 but I would love it if the handle were just a bit longer, so are they planning on coming out with a smaller fixed blade that is a bit bigger than the eskabar?

I don't think mines a kershaw collaboration, but I have a vise grip with tools in the handles and a leather sheath I think. I'll have to dig for it.

Oh my that sub zero looks good there Dubz.

Nice liners Flexxx. Really nice.

Thanks brother, appreciated. That apple cider vinegar did a good job I thought. That was after a few days of soaking in it. I just don't like the blingy stuff.

The "Tweeners" are the top knife in this pic here:

And the two in this pic here:

All three of them are ridiculously comfortable, and will be out in January in time for SHOT Show. The handles are very much longer than the BK14, and the blades are in the 4" range or so.

Hey thanks for the response Derek, lol i'll be sure to get one of each. They look amazing!

We got to play with the tweeners at the first gathering and everybody was impressed with the thought that went into their designs. Great knives indeed and it would be so hard to choose just one that most will own several when they come out.

Oh by the way, you'll need one of these to go with your tweeners...after all, it is.........the King.:D

Omg. What is this awesomeness that I see before me? That thing looks nuts! Do you have any specs on that bad boy? And how many tweeners are coming out?

LOL

That is a BK9 brother, available right now at many great establishments. He stripped the blade, ground off the thumb ramp, and put some micarta handle scales on it.

There is a total of three tweeners, and the return of the Brute, Patrol Machete, and the Machax. BK's 1, 4, and 6 I believe.

Dude, that's the first time I've seen all the little 'uns....
I want that Minimum Camp so bad. Gee, as bad as I want the Magnum camp!
The regular drop-point leaves me a bit cold, but it's surely a great BK2 understudy. I just have so many wide-blade drop-point hunting fixed blades now that it's ridiculous.

Does this qualify as hog-wild?

In case there's any residual concern within Kabar about a market for the smaller fixed blades, here's the result of one man's obsessive attempt to fill the tweener void:

My EDC (second from right) is 2.4", and the largest at left (when finished, it's ready for handles) will be about 3.6". The middle sized three are all 3". In practical terms I could call them 3, 4, and 5-finger handle sizes. The green-handled one is on my hunting pack for this season.

Small and medium knives are cool!
(oh boy oh boy, I've got some other sweet ones in the pipe that I hope turn out nice.)

Thanks, TW.
BK-inspired, in a lot of ways.

The second-from-left and the far right are 1095 (first medium and first small). The rest are O1.
My grinds are getting higher, which is good mostly. Problem with the biggest one is that at the same thickness, the blade gets quite thin with a high grind - maybe not bad? It's all "research". Hehehehe. I'm not thrilled with the surface finish on the blade portion of the biggy, so maybe it won't get the fancy maple handles I'd been imagining.
