VB=Victoria Bitter, excellent beer. Nicks right, they rarely drink Fosters, kinda like how they think all we drink is Bud here. If it's what you like though, who cares. I like Fosters. If you can find VB, go for it, then tell me where you got it. I've had my local liquor guy searching for it forever, he usually gets me what I want, but no VB so far.

This is my latest project.

A Ghillie Jacket

I had an old jacket with torn out elbows that I did a bit of modifying. I sewed/glued netting to the outside.

Saturday, while it was raining, I unraveled some burlap and dyed some grey. I still need to dye some dark brown and attach the burlap.

Hopefully, I can get it finished before turkey season.
 
since my fatboy wasn't big enough for my edc, I got me one of these, a maxpedition monsoon gearslinger. Thing has gone everywhere with me so far. Big enough for my stuff, small enough to carry all the time. Awesome stuff, you can see my edc knives in the second pic, the easy access concealed pouches are great neither knife is visible when stored but can be grabbed in seconds.

Maxpedition is pretty good stuff but there is alot better out there IMO
TAD, Kifaru, Mystery Ranch, Eberlestock and Camelbak to name a few

For an edc pack I don't need the best.

Hey flexx I wanted to ask do you own a bk2? I know u got an esee 5 and wondered which you liked better. I figured they r the same knife with different handles. Never felt one and wondered if its comfortable.

I had both. I got rid of my ESEE. I Loved the ESEE until I held a BK2. Then I never picked it back up.
 
just went aggro on some wood with my BK9. damn that thing chops well..... (thanks for the chopping hint tradewater)

i had an rc-5 and got rid of it. the scales were too squared off and on top of the blade thickness it was like holding a brick. i could've sanded it round though but i also preferred the bk-2's big belly shape so the 5 had to go.
 
RSK MK2 in Tactical Knives this issue. Pretty good review, don't know if it has been mentioned yet.

I like both but if I had to choose, I would take the Esee 5.
it just fits me better, I love the look and feel plus it can take a serious beating....

And the kydex sheath is some of the best kydex work I have ever seen

Its actually an rtak 2 but same damn knife without the warranty IMO. It feel awesome, very forward heavy, good slight recurve design for chopping. I can see why the junglas is so popular, especially if the F&F is better, which for an Ontario this sucker is nice in that department, but if the junglas is better then kudos to esee. The rtak comes with a choil which I like. The bk9 is better balanced and has a better all around feel, but boy is this thing gonna process wood like a champ. But that's all I suppose....I would like that skull and cross knife etch on it tho cuz I just love esee's symbol...

Actually thelogicalone sent me this as is (except it was stripped and I superblued it to get it almost black) he did very nice work. I imagine the idea was borrowed from bryfry, but imitation is the best form of flattery

To be honest i thought it was longer. Its ALOT smaller than i had imagined. I expected it to be the same length as a bk11 or 14. Think its a little TOO short for me.

Blade. it seems like a shrunken head on the handle. the handle is a perfect neck knife handle. I would love if the knife was the actual size of the shape on the plastic stock sheath, that would be a great neck knife.
