I must be missing something here, because for the life of me I cant figure out why the new MPR is $340. I love the knife, just seems like a really cool ass $200 knife at best. Benchmade is a bit overpriced, but usually not by much considering.
The screws arent TI, theyre just coated steel. It has typical barrel spacers. THe blade is 20CV and the handles are Ti, but again its a very small amount as the blade or handles arent thick or large or have difficult machining.
I look at the techno and its around $200. I cant for the life of me figure out why the price is so high on the 756. Its really cool but is Benchmade just plain shafting knife collectors because they figure they can? What is going on with the $340 price tag and is it justified? Is anyone gonna take it stiff and hard and shell out the money for the 756?

When I first saw that little guy I was all over it.
When I saw the price I thought to myself that maybe I have enough knives. Definitely enough Benchmades... They're going crazy with their pricing, and I don't want to support that.

They're hopping on the "micro" folder trend it seems.

If you could charge someone $340 for a glorified letter opener/fidget toy, why wouldn't you? People will pay for it.

I would like to have one but not at that price. I don’t think it even has a steel lockbar insert. The last Benchmade Sibert MPR lockup sucked on several examples.

And then, there’s the Spyderco Drunken for $400+ dollars.

I guess if people are going to buy it, why not?

So that’s how much the drunken will cost? Seems a little steep. Atleast they are giving s90v on it but still. For some reason most the Spydie framelocks are really up there. Throw on some real carbon fibre rather than the g10/cf layer they sometimes use and you have a 400$ knife I guess.

That said Spyderco’s taichung factory puts out amazing quality knives. And Sinkevitch is a great designer but I there are so many other knives I would rather buy for $400.

Some dealers will have them in stock and I would say they'll go on sale pretty fast. First off the only people who this would appeal to at that price are Benchmade collectors who live in an area where that blade length is acceptable. I would rather have the Vicar back from Siebert but then again I think it would be safe to say this will no longer be produced after maybe a year.

It's a nifty knife, but it does a few things wrong. Tip down clip, blade stock and grind, handle thickness, overall weight, and price. If those few things changed, all of them going lower, I might be interested, but as is I would have to be very drunk before I ever thought about buying this knife.

I love tiny knives. This is just a chunky abomination.
