Thats the MSRP, the actual online price should be more like $180.
Not bad for what you would be getting, Benchmade 154cm is the only steel done by them that I like.
 
I actually like that they're putting out more pens. ::shrug:: Now they just need to come out with a light and they'll have the holy trinity complete!

I'm in for one of those Lum's, that looks pretty sweet to me. Although, it would be sweeter with a satin blade :)
 
Benchmade 2009,
Ho-hummmm….

Like the last couple of years, I am less than impressed with the new year’s offerings.
And, like the last couple of years, I am going to buy a couple of Benchmades older models. I picked up a 210TK Snody fixed blade and a 610 Rukus last year. Both are great knives and a lot more interesting than anything they have offered lately.

This year I am going to finally buy a couple of Bradley Cutlery offerings. (Hey, Benchmade manufactures them so they count don’t they?)

An Alias 1 and a Mayhem will be my choices this year. I like the Alias design better than Sebbies anyway and the Skirmish never impressed me but it was at least very cool looking. The new 760 isn’t even eye candy like the Skirmish was. The tanto blade is the last blade shape I would choose and as far as M4 steel goes, I prefer stainless in a folder so that isn’t gonna get me to buy one either.

I really wish Benchmade would have offered another Gentlemen’s folder like the 770 Osborne, THAT I would buy. Axis still rocks and there are still no small classy gents folders in Benchmades lineup since they dropped the 770.

Bradley here I come!
 
Great line up. The Barrage and Torrent look cool. I just can't see why the Presidio Ultra is called the Ultra when it's less expensive than the old Presidio? Benchmade...bring back the AFCK!
 
I like the Barrage and the 760. The latter really impressed me and it looks just about perfect. However, I was hoping for s30v or at least 154cm (anything stainless, actually).

That's about it. Nothing else except a few interesting designs...
 
I do like the M4, but it isn't really brand new. They did the framelock Lum tanto already for Blackwater. I searched for a plain blade version for a while. Looks like I may have gotten my wish :thumbup:

You know, that is a good point. Just because the knife is new to us doesn't mean the knife is a new design.
Four new pens and only three new knives? The Torrent, the Mark Lee, the Nagara. Sure there's a bunch more that say "new" in the description, only they're modifications of old designs.
It's still a pretty solid lineup, but what have the designers at Benchmade been doing all this time?
