New BK10s

So is the new BK10 going to be a limited production model or is it going to be standard production like the rest of the BK line?

It's going to be a full production knife. The BK10LE was made from a lot of Cammilus BK10 blanks that Ka-Bar acquired.

Cool news. I'm excited to strip, de-ramp, maybe sharpen the swedge, and put some micarta or ranger green TKC G10 on it. Then some sort of sheath. Also I need a ford raptor to carry it around in.
Why don't you just get a 2 if you want all that.

hello. I am new here and this is my first post. I joined because I found this discussion while seaching the web wondering if I was the only one stoked that the Crewman was being made available again. now I know I'm not. I own a BK2 and I love it but the BK10 seems like a refined version of it. Can't wait to get one! (if they don't sell too fast)

But doesn't that mean they're eventually going to run out and either have to make their own or end production once again?

They are making their own. The previously made limited edition BK10's (the BK10LE) was made from the blanks. The BK10's coming out are made from scratch by Ka-Bar.

Was using the BK10 ages ago before I was big into knives. Chose it cause of the low price, US made and just looked good.

↑ these above pics are the equivalent of porn. A darn fine looking blade.... even more so after the paint has been removed.

Probably wants the thinner stock, and it's gotta have a swedge to be able to sharpen one. The 10 does and the 2 doesn't.

Yep. This. Also like the finger guard. Not a big fan of the BK2s weight/thickness. It was my first Becker but now is my least used. I grab my 9 or 16 most days

I love the 10. I was able to handle one for a few minutes at BeckerWest. I will definitely be getting one of the new release. Just a point here; After I saw the Camillus BK9 break I realized I have no desire to own any Camillus blades. Not even as collection blades.

And, I'm really glad BKT blades are no longer made by them. Just my opinion.

I have a BK-10LE & i am still stoked for the new release of them. I will be buying at least one more. :D
