Nice, I love that finish style.

One detail:

Transitions seems pretty steep, and it appears to be some sharp angles.
Maybe you should radius them more for such a big blade, make them more progressive.



By the way, shouldn't you have drilled pin holes bedore hardening?

The blade hasn't been hardened yet.... I'm still figuring out the ferrell and tang hole positions. The transition is a 1/8" rad... but it is fairly sharp where it ends at the ricasso... hmmm? Good point.... maybe I'll break the corner.

Its 5160 steel and I may differentially heat treat it with a "clay temper".
