So I got the new Boker catalogue in the mail today and I liked several of the new designs! In particular there was a ceramic blade folder with a titanium framelock designed by Chad Los Banos that was nice! Also the subcom is now offered in titanium framelock as well as several other new intresting offerings! Anyone else seen a new boker that intrested them?

Aloha Matthew M,

I designed a ceramic blade folder? Naw, kidding...I know ya meant something else.

Mahalo for your interest in the SubCom Titan", or as I call it, the Ti-Com...I should be getting mine soon.

As for what new Boker's interested me, were the offerings by Vox, Krein, Anso, and Beshara!!! Oh yeah, and that Mosier!!!

God bless and thanks again!

You have some great designs Chad. Keep up the terrific work, and thank you for sharing your work with us.

Aloha RevDevil,

No, no...thank YOU for your terrific comments!:o I pray you'll think the same when...aaaaaaah, you'll see.:foot:;)

God bless and mahalo much!!!

I like the new CLB folder with no thumbstuds. that is a useful blade shape.

+1:thumbup:

I really like your work. As a matter of fact it was your designs that first got me interested in Boker. Hope to see more from you and Boker.

I have already ordered 2 of the Titaniuim Subcoms. That is a great knife design with the clip and the all belly blade shape. Speaking of those knife designs, the Lava is a beautiful piece too. I sure hope another comes out in a G10 material.

Several of the upcoming Bökers are quite attractive to me. And most of them are in their keenly priced Boker Plus series that still offer good quality. The ones I look forward to most:

- CLB's modern slipjoint design, the Boker Plus XS. An interesting alternative to the Spyderco UKPK lightweight.
- Indeed the very classy ceramic blade folder that the OP mentioned.
- If I wouldn't have the superb Exskeliburs yet (these are perfect elegant EDCs), I would crack for the wooden-handled Exskelimoor variants.
- for fixed blades the diminutive Pocket Bowie, Gnome and especially the Trigonaut. Nice custom collaborations!
- From the Böker range, the special run of the Supreme looks like a very nice 2 hand opening knife.
- I don't need kitchen knives anymore but that new Gorm series is very cool indeed, and different. If there could be such a thing as a tactical kitchen knife, this is it.

Apa khabar brother!

Long time no see! Hope ya been good?;)

Ahhhh, the piece you speak of is the COMPLIANCE folder. Had to help out my bro's not only in Germany, but wherever else a locking folder cannot have any protrusions to assist in one hand opening. (:thumbdn::confused:)

Samo likes this one too!:p

God bless and be safe!

Mahalo kmm,

Thanks for your kind words. I have been told by many people that I, "Pulled Boker back into the mainstream" with my SubCom "series". How true that is I dunno, but I was also told that the Boker Plus line was created because of my, well, what a fellow officer calls them, "Crazy Lil' Bastards"...

Regardless if what I just said is true or false, I am just happy to have made it into the industry we so love. I thank God for getting me there on a daily...:) I trip out ya know, because in the end...I am just a knife user like everyone else here, and I pray that never changes.

God bless and thanks again!:o

Aloha again RevDevil,

...AND thanks AGAIN for your kind words!:o As much as I like the original SubCom blade shape, I am totally praying for the whole line to wear Ti!!!;) I mean, oh man...I been thinking of a Ti-M-Type... And a Ti-Claw...and a Whar-Ti...and...well, you get the picture.:p

Keep us posted when you r Ti-Com arrives, and regarding the Lava, thanks again. However, I think that poor baby is long gone.:( UNLESS...:foot:

God bless and ahhhhhh, you'll see...:D

+1000

I find wharcom and subclaw a lot more usefull blade designs in this size.

@Dagon

Im really looking forward to the Jens Ansø collaboration, the Haddock. Ive had one backordered for 3 months now, and still no sign of it. Boker says theyve been out of stock since january!

One im also looking forward to is the Cox. Heinnie Haynes in the UK told me its going to cost around 132£. Thats alot of money for a little slipjoint. But it sure looks nice AND legal. Not too many modern-looking slipjoints thats 2-handed opening on the market today.

I assume that Böker will do a new "sprint run" on the Haddock once they have enough back orders?
Regarding Haddock and Cox. Well I was really looking forward to the Haddock, but when I examined it in a local shop I realised it was not really for me. Nothing wrong with the knife, more a matter of taste. That's why I didn't really examine the Cox either.
PErhaps the affordable Böker Buddy is what you are looking for? They filled the hole in the blade, making it -I think- in essence a 2 hand opening modern slipjoint.
