New Bokers

Thanks Daywalker! When you get a chance can we see sone more pics of the other side and centering? I'm getting one of those.

Aloha SteelSnob,

Will do...I was running out of sunlight when I took this pic. IF the weather cooperates tomorrow, I'll put more up!

God bless and mahalo!

I've always been a fan of Boker slip joints. Last year I picked up a Subcom...Wharcom and a Trance. I also recently picked up the large and small Skellern Exskelibur knives....the large is a fantastic knife. My "to buy" list got a lot bigger after getting my new catalog. Lots of great looking folders and the Krein and Dozier fixed blades look great.

My current order with my favorite dealer....

CHAD LOS BANOS XS
CHAD LOS BANOS SUBCOM TITAN
CHAD LOS BANOS COMPLIANCE
EXSKELI MOOR I (This is the large model)

Soon to be added to the list...

Boker Plus Clip
Voxknives Rold
Krein Pocket Bowie
One of the Dozier models..haven't decided yet.

The new Vox and CLB's are really cool! Did you guys also get the add in flyer w/ the uber cheap magnum knives? Like $5?!? Think my son is gonna get a new folder :)

I really like that Ti biscuit! And dig that Arbolito Grande.

One question (only have an OLD tree brand). Is their 440 like bucks 420 in terms of good steel? I ask because i thought some of the prices to be quite rich for 440. YMMV

Also, i dig the back story on some of the damascus. Tank and ship barrells is killer cool!

I picked up my first Boker today, a Subcom Titan. Fit and finish are outstanding and the blade was scary sharp out of the box. I can go on and on, for a small knife it fits my hand well and is comfortable to use. Love the jimping on the handle as well as the forward slope of the blade. A great package for 40 bucks Canadian (inclusive of our 13% sales taxes). It most definitely will not be my last Boker purchase. Played with a Trance while in the shop...any chance that this will be released in Titanium as well????

Subcom Titanium , I was never interested in the original version to be honest ( I own too many knives in that size range as it is ) but this one is a definate buy , I love its clean looks , plus it's screamin to be heat colored :D
Those are very nicely priced too considering it's a titanium frame , good 'ol 440c to boot.
IIRC those are made in China ? ( not that it matters to me ) maybe that's why they are wallet friendly.

They are made in China, but the quality control is very good. It is very striking looking knife as well. I like the way they have engraved the scale pattern of the original frn handle in on the titanium.

My quest for the Pry-Mate continues. The also pricey new Haddock model, in Ti/G10 and N690BO blade steel - 5 mm at the spine and ~3.4" long Wharncliffe style blade - $279 MSRP - was on my list until Saturday. It's now an EDC, due to finding it just in at a local higher end sporting goods store. Thankfully, they made me a price I could afford - with #1 son's 'Pappy Day' gift-o-green.

That's it and the smaller/heavier Benchmade 755 MPR I bought a few months back - a definite keeper, too.
