Haven't had the chance to take this out yet, but I thought I'd show a couple pictures anyway. Went down and picked up this knife and had Bryan convex a few (well, pretty much the rest of my fixed blades) of my other knives.

Okay, it's a wharncliffe in 5/32" O1, 3.5" blade and 4.5" handle. Came up with this one primarily as a farm utility knife, so it needed to be tough, not too big, and comfortable in hand, even with gloves. I think it will work great, Bryan did a wonderful job on this one. Let me know what y'all think.

Also making a sneak appearance is my JK Slim Hunter. Great blade, 4" blade, 4.5" handle (I think), O1 steel. Great little blade, cuts even better now with the convex edge.

That wharnny is cool. My son has a JK one that he loves. Perfect mushroom knife. I like it for my boy, the blade lends itself to utility, and keeps the desire to stab something to a minimum. He wears it on a baldric, like all his fixed blades, I like to see the knife on him, as opposed to having it concealed by his shirt.

Anyways....Sorry for drifting. Thats a cool kinfe bro......

Pretty sweet blade! I like the look of Bryan's knives, especially with the orange handles.

That warny is pretty neat looking. I had to take a double look at that one, just never came to mind that Bryan would make a full warny like that. I like the size of the handle.

ooohh.. that's cool.. a breeden wharnie.... looks like a great cutter...

Holy cow, that's a large hunk of Wharnnie!!
Never thought to ask Bryan to do one. I have had a few smaller ones which were about the size I was looking for but the handles weren't "right." I am going to have to do some more "economy stimulating" and see if Bryan is up for another one of those.

VERY nice.:thumbup::thumbup:

I originally thought of having a smaller one made, but after a while decided this was a good size. This seems like a really good size for a wharny.

Talked with Bryan a bit about making one when I was there and he made my Peacemaker. After using the Peacemaker a while, I realized that a lot of my fine work was done just using the straight portion of the blade near the handle. That got me thinking that a 3 or 4-inch wharny would be a good idea. And a full, good handle, because for me the handle often makes or breaks the knife overall.

I really like the handle on this one, this is probably my favorite pattern for a knife handle. The JK is very similar, and it's also very comfortable.

Hi all,

The way Brent was looking that knife over yestrday and kept turning it this way and that way, I was wondering if he liked it or not LOL Then looks up and says I going to put it on my belt right now and start wearing it.
LOL that made me feel good LOL.
like Brent said when he was here last time he drew up a design of what he kind of wanted and over the next few months and several e-mails we got the design down the way he wanted and then made up.
For my first one I think it turned out pretty good. I was telling Brent I would like to make one with thinner blade and maybe a little less for the blade width just so see what it was like. With some kydex pants from Jeff H.
I think that would make a pretty neat little neck knife.
maybe some time LOL

It was real neat that Brent brought some other knives like the RC4 and
the knife he won in a contest I forgot the name of it though it is a RAT knife to.
Brent what is that one called again?

I got see and hold one of Johns knives. I really like the handle material on it to is that Paper micata John? Brent thought it was.

LOL Jeff let me know and we can do up a blank maybe and then you can put on a handle like you want to or something LOL

Thanks again for all the kind comments everyone and Brent enjoy your knife.:D

Bryan

I don't own any warncliff blades, but I like that one alot.

Great Job Brian!

Throw a nice marlinspike together with that wharnie and you'll have a heck of a good seaman's set. I like that one a lot. Great design, great handle.

Marlin spike:eek: LOL now there is a thought.

Bryan

I use one of my marlin spikes at least once a day. I'm never without one.I'm lousy at untying knots without one, I also seem to find new uses for it constantly.
I'm picturing one with an orange handle in a set with one of your knives.:D

Got any pics of your marlin spike and the spects?
LOL I have used my swiss army knife with the awl as a knot untying tool. LOL
Putting a orange handle on I think would be pretty easy. I have put orange handles
on firesteels before, so it should not be to hard to put one on a marlin spike.
Well I think anyways LOL
