Got any pics of your marlin spike and the spects?
LOL I have used my swiss army knife with the awl as a knot untying tool. LOL
Putting a orange handle on I think would be pretty easy. I have put orange handles
on firesteels before, so it should not be to hard to put one on a marlin spike.

I'm starting to think Doc talks too much .

That looks like a really nice set, protourist. For a marlinspike, I use a deer antler (the top one, the bottom is an awl to make holes in bark for lacing)

My preference, however is 'slippery' knots that untie easily without a marlinspike.

Doc, as far as I'm concerned you need to talk more. :thumbup:Your input is invaluable to me. As far as slippery knots, I'm not good at them yet.

Protourist That is a neat looking litte peice of gear for your spike, but I think with a Orange handle for it would sure make it easyer to see when you set it down or drop it. and Doc using an antler for one way to go.

That is why I am crazy for your knives. I am getting really tired of not being able to find things in a black bag. Orange is the only way to go for me now.:thumbup:

Thickness 1/4" width 1/2" tapering to a 1/16" rounded point.
