New Buck 040 Onset

Just in time for my birthday lol. They are very interesting!

I noticed it says it is 5 inch closed but only a 3.25 inch blade. I wonder if that’s a misprint or a long handle? At 5 inches you’d think it would have at least a 3.75 blade similar to a 110.

Original spec which I would think would be real similar.

^these dimensions are far more appealing to me than the 3.25 blade and 5 handle

I wonder why they went with the full flat grind on these ? I thought the hollow grind that is on many Buck knives gives it even better performance than a flat grind.

Could be a marketing decision. buck doesn't have too many flat grind knives vs other manufacturers. I don't really have a preference on a folding knife. On a camp knife I prefer flat.
