Did you guys get your new catalogs yet? Just got mine with 2 new dvds for knives and swords. It's plastered with disclaimers about "may contain objectionable content" or something like that?

I'm looking forward to see what Lynn T. and company are going to chop up.

Getting ready to slap them in my dvd drive, should be fun! :D

I received mine in the mail from Special Projects. It had the DVD in there with the catalog. I watched some of them but honestly I prefer watching the ones done by Andrew Demko personally. Some of his are on there but the ones I like are on the net. Andy is harder on the knives and pushes them further than the guys on the videos. If you really want to see what they can take find his on youtube and watch them. Note how much more swing he puts into his whacks compared to the other guys. He seems to be free with weight stacking to me too compared to the factory guys also.

The vids and magazines are distributed free of charge to those on the mailing list so I watch them. Take some, leave some, but they are entertaining.

I'm done with side 1 of dvd #1 and so far have learned the coolest way to change a crappy tire fast....just cut it off and throw it over your shoulder!!

Also, when watching Lynn demo'ing Bowie knife fighting techniques, I was admonished "don't judge me because of your lame ass"....okay dude I sure won't! :o

Also, I'm getting awfully hungry for a huge cut of prime rib tonight. Off to side 2. :)

Forgot, when knife fighting and the other guy doesn't expect it, drop down and stab the sucker right through his boot to pin him down.!!

My favorite part was when Lynn says something to the effect of "Myomoto Musashi had it right, two swords are better" and then goes on to demonstrate that he can hardly handle one sword, let alone two.

They do have some interesting knives that I may look at, but the way Lynn comes across in his videos with his whole "our knives are the best sharpest knives in the known universe and my fighting and sword skills are the best you'll ever see" is a serious turnoff.

It sure does contain a lot of objectionable content!

LOL

Just watched the whole one minute and thirty seconds video of the new recon one and my need to get it just grew exponentially:mad:

I'm dozing off after lunch and Lynn is now pitching the magnum blow gun - he definitely has the wind for it. "Use the mini broadhead for hunting it makes a wider wound channel"........zzzzzzzzzzz Stun darts like little RPG's "if you hit a dove with one it'll knock him into th middle of nexr week." Just have to finsih this and him spearing pigs - I hope or I'll pass out. :)

Update:   Lynn has just sprayed bout 10 of his employees with some hell-fire concoction called INFERNO spray and they're dropping like stones. Just as I was thinking what a puss he was at the end of the segment, Lynn takes a shot for the team and shows the boys that he can still hang. He was the only one who got handfuls of shaved ice to hold over his face though. It pays to be the boss!

I'd love to see some of the guys on this forum spar with "fat" Lynn Thompson. I'd pay good money for a d.v.d. of internet big mouths getting their asses handed to them by a pudgy 5'9" guy. I'd YouTube that so quick you wouldn't believe it.

If LT is 5'9", then I must be about 6'6" barefoot. Time to check my height again. :p:thumbup:

Go check his Warrior's Edge series. He states he's 5'9".

That sounds about right. What impressed me is that for carrying a lot of weight. LT talked throughout a very long segment of the Bowie Fighting segment and never sounded the least bit gassed despite lots of front to back footwork and non-stop parries, counters and attacks.

I don't know if he's married but he needs a woman to dress him properly. He wears his tie-tack up by his neck.....sorry Lynn you'll never make the cover of GQ - me either for that fact. :D

For a "fat" guy he's pretty quick. If you've watched the training videos, you've seen what he's capable of. I'd love to spar with him using dulled blades and 3 weapons rated masks, etc.

The videos are pretty good usually IMO. :D

It's good they take the time to make them and out them out there for everyone to see. :)

They show that people really can use their knives.

would be fun. If he decides to use two swords...hell, two anything...more power to him. IMHO he is all talk, I have never been impressed with anything he has said or done. A lifetime of martial arts training tells me he is full of himself and 75% of everything he says is useless information.

Sorry if that offends you.
