New Commander Problems. Derek?

Oh, by the way . . . it's just screws. The clip on my carry Commander is scratched up and the thumb disk has no finish left at all. Not to mention scuffs on the finish. I've been carrying it since the Commander was introduced and I have no intention of getting rid of it anytime soon. It has . . . character
 
Hmmm...Mr. Scott Dog always seems to be reading posts here in the Emerson Forum but when he posts a message it's always to complain about, insult, and generally slam on Emerson knives (both the product and the company), users of said knives, and everything in between!

If all you are going to do is be negative, and you can't stand Emerson knives--from the blade grind to the lock to the damn screws--WHY, Mr. Dog, do you continue to visit this particular forum?? And WHY, Mr. Dog, do you continue to insult us with your posts??

I'm all for everyone having his or her own opinion, but we hang out on this particular forum because we LIKE Emerson knives. If you want to rant about how Chris Reeve's Sebenzas are the best thing since sliced bread (and I'm NOT saying they are or aren't

), and how much crap you think Emerson knives are, I would highly suggest you do so in the Chris Reeve Forum, and let us go on about our business here. Thanks.

In your post you stated about screwdrivers and shears having no edges but penatrate..
Of course the will look at their profile thin and long of course they can thrust! The commander can do it to but not as well,well i guess your skills and knowledge are shown through what you carry.you must love those angels 1-12 !!

No, your skills and knowledge are not necessarily "shown" through what you carry. I don't live in fantasy land either. I want something that opens fast, in a folder, you know as well as I do what the deal is.

Through painful explanation, you simply ignore the fact that a properly maintained Commander still has a razor sharp edge. You simply ignored what I wrote and chose what you wanted to shine light on. Nothing new about that here.

Don't make the mistake I am ignorant or inept because of what I carry.

I'm sort of a "5-8-9" man myself, but I don't concentrate on thrusting. You do it all, I have no idea what you are talking about in your last Posting. It seems to be equal parts cryptic and condescending.
 
Glock schmock. Beretta 92F for me, please. If I can't have that, I'll take the Sig P-220, and then maybe the HK USP.

Ooooo... we go from bashing knives to bashing guns! The "infinite thread" has begun...

I have a SIG-P220 as well. If I had the choice to make again, I would have purchased a Glock M21 instead. I love my SIG, I like Glocks better.

STeel and alloy frame guns have battered their frames and cracked them, Glocks keep on chugging...
 
I feel your knowledge reflects on what you carry for sure!Depending on what you know and practice surely will reflect on the blade you intend to carry look at all the goofy knife designs out there,people eat it up and buy some of this nonsense because of a trend those in the FMA mostly tend to think that stick is blade and blade is stick,so I can see that in what you guys choose to carry,To me (my opinon)the more you try to make it look tough it tends to take away the nature of the blade!So I see that what most of what you guys post here most are slashers and thrusters when there is much more.Which is ok I have no bad intentions,Just most people choose their blades to what they are limited to,thinking this blade is much better at this while this one is better at that when all you need is to step back and think simpicity in blade design,You have to look at the commander why is their so much recurve on a short blade it is not needed,works on a longer blade.Again my opinons nothing else.Plus in your last post it was a person with no knowledge of blade work and the blade he used was nothing special,sure any blade will cut or thrust and a cheap folder could hold up to a hard thrust but I perfer somthing that i know will fail the least when the time needs!
