New contest for a Junglas & ESEE packs

Yup, great choices - congrats guys! I thought Guardian would have figured in there with his snow shelter, though.

(I only entered because I was hoping everyone would be lazier than me!)

Guardian's doing alright. He's picked up some items from us for his snow shelter (BTW: we thought his snow shelter was awesome). Just doin' our best to spread the love around. While his entry was really good, I still liked the pole splitting better becasue it's something you don't see people doing much anymore and it is a very useful skill. The rabbit trap was spot on with what we were looking for with this contest. Also, the photos themselevs got judged, not just the skill.

Jeff,

Thanks for the opportunity. I thought a lot of the submissions where good and regardless of who won there was something that could be learned from many of them. Email sent.

Thanks,
John

Sorry I just got caught up reading the post. Hopefully I will have a chance to build another one this weekend and this time I will take some step by step pics for everyone. In the event I don't the design is based on a fairly simple rabbit box trap. Instead of wire and solid wood I used materials readily available and small enough that a lot of energy was not needed in order to build. The site below has an example of what it is based on. I used to build variations of this trap along-side my dad's solid box traps to see what works and what didn't. The design I posted seemed to work the best. However as expected the trap placement is just as important if not more important than the design.

Thanks,

Congrats to the winners; all good choices. I wish I had a place in the woods like savagesicslayer's - very cool.

My pack arrived this morning. It's one hell of a tough piece of gear.I'm sure it'd last me for years.I'm going to pair it up with the 3-mil I won last year..
