I agree. I’ve bought four of their newer knives, and have been impressed with the fit & finish, and the walk & talk. Blades are all centered, pulls are about a 6. No gaps or proud tips. I’ll keep buying if they produce patterns like these.Haven’t had the chance to purchase one yet, but the dollar knives are looking good. Aesthetically I like the direction they are moving some of their line. I think they’re going to find much more success if they keep it up.
Anyone have the recent Cooper releases in Dollar Knife, S&M, or Beaver Falls? I like mine. They have a ways to go to catch GEC, but they are making some nice knives.

Bill made the knives below for a Queen show, before he started GEC!!!!
I’ve always loved the look of those dollar knives. At one time actively searched them out, but never had luck landing one. I believe they were fairly low production numbers. Think this is part of the reason I like the new Cooper release.Bill made the knives below for a Queen show, before he started GEC!!!!View attachment 2528073View attachment 2528074

Your best bet is to follow them on Instagram.I don’t know where you find them, other than the couple on their website I’ve never seen one for sale.
This looks like a Great Leap Forward , that Bonestag is really appealing
D2Are the blades 420 or D2 or 1095? I like the loom of the dollar knives.
Looks like you got a good one. Seems the quality of these in particular have been inconsistent. Here's a D2 Beaver Falls SFO covered in Tobacco Stick - the sticks used to hang tobacco leaves during the drying process.

It's got some side-to-side blade wobble, but not enough to be an issue. The big question on my mind is why these Coopers have such sharp edges on the covers and no swedges on the blades? I guess not a huge deal either, but jeez, if you don't position them just so for pictures, they come out looking 2-dimensional.
Yes, only slight gapping on one side, and just in one spot between the spring and liner and, as mentioned, just a touch of side-to-side blade wobble. I certainly don't regret the purchase and it'll be interesting to see how the covers age.Looks like you got a good one. Seems the quality of these in particular have been inconsistent.
I no longer have mine, or I'd send you one!!I’ve always loved the look of those dollar knives. At one time actively searched them out, but never had luck landing one. I believe they were fairly low production numbers. Think this is part of the reason I like the new Cooper release.
