New Cooper Cutlery knives?

Haven’t had the chance to purchase one yet, but the dollar knives are looking good. Aesthetically I like the direction they are moving some of their line. I think they’re going to find much more success if they keep it up.

I agree. I’ve bought four of their newer knives, and have been impressed with the fit & finish, and the walk & talk. Blades are all centered, pulls are about a 6. No gaps or proud tips. I’ll keep buying if they produce patterns like these.

I don’t know where you find them, other than the couple on their website I’ve never seen one for sale.

These are looking great.

I completely missed them and I made sure to subscribe to all of their stuff lol! Never heard a peep

I'd definitely be into one of those beaver falls branded knives. Looking good. Very cool to see them putting out these nice products!

Thanks for sharing the images and first hand descriptions ..

Here's a D2 Beaver Falls SFO covered in Tobacco Stick - the sticks used to hang tobacco leaves during the drying process.

It's got some side-to-side blade wobble, but not enough to be an issue. The big question on my mind is why these Coopers have such sharp edges on the covers and no swedges on the blades? I guess not a huge deal either, but jeez, if you don't position them just so for pictures, they come out looking 2-dimensional.

Looks like you got a good one. Seems the quality of these in particular have been inconsistent.

Yes, only slight gapping on one side, and just in one spot between the spring and liner and, as mentioned, just a touch of side-to-side blade wobble. I certainly don't regret the purchase and it'll be interesting to see how the covers age.

One day, hopefully sooner rather than later, I'd love to see Cooper consistently producing at a GEC, or thereabouts, level - but am also acutely aware that it's a process and doesn't occur overnight. I could be wrong, but I think the traditional market is big enough for another heavyweight contender.

Here are a couple other Cooper's I've got, none perfect, but also none that I regret picking up:

"The Conqueror" in Red Jigged Cattle Bone from Cooper's Battle Axe brand (I've got another of these in White Jigged Cattle Bone with a bit of blade wobble - this red one though, is rock solid), ominously looming over a GEC #06 Templar in Crusader Acrylic.

And a One-Arm Razor in Green-Dyed Smooth Camel Bone from Cooper's Weed & Co. brand. This one came dull, and I've yet to be able to get it as sharp as I'd like, but not for lack of trying! The corners of this one's covers are so sharp that it is really a bit ridiculous. I'll knock them down if I can ever get it to a carry level of sharpness, but as I said, no regrets!

I’ve always loved the look of those dollar knives. At one time actively searched them out, but never had luck landing one. I believe they were fairly low production numbers. Think this is part of the reason I like the new Cooper release.
I no longer have mine, or I'd send you one!! 😲 ;)

I’ve recently acquired these three. Not quite GEC or Albers quality but not bad by any stretch. I’m a fan and hope for continued improvement and success for Cooper Cutlery!

From top to bottom the brands are Schatt & Morgan, Dollar Knife, and Beaver Falls.
