New CPM Steel: Magnamax?

I wouldn't know anything about that. (I've not followed all the comments in the thread.)

But it's never a bad thing, in my opinion, to seek answers to legitimately asked questions which are not veiled attempts to undermine someone or something.

(If Larrin Larrin didn't ask questions, he'd not have attained the knowledge he has. If DeadboxHero DeadboxHero didn't ask questions, he'd never have attained the respect and following he's earned as a maker. And so it goes for all of those who have moved the needle in this avocation of ours.)
Okay, seems odd to just chime in, if you haven't followed the thread? I get it you're a mod, but chiming in with "can't fix stupid", seems to be pointed in the direction of folks (myself included) who have commented in said thread. It seems no malicious intent was intended, so I'll move back to topic.

Given this new steel has not received the stamp of approval from the creator of Magncut and is still in beta (maybe alpha) testing, I'll refrain from assuming it should hold up to the OG Magnacut's standards. The more I (we all) know, the better.

Cheers!

I didn't just chime in, GreX GreX , and you are off base. If you can't tell I was supporting you, you need to work on your reading comprehension.
I said that I haven't followed every post in the thread.
I also said that asking questions without an agenda is perfectly legit. The fact that I didn't see who had apparently hurt your feelings is neither here nor there.

Moving on, though this steel prototype was created by Larrin Larrin , who is the author of MagnaCut, does not mean that this steel was intended to have the same characteristics as MagnaCut, nor replace it in any way, shape or form. So, "holding up" to OG MagnaCut is not (necessarily) the intent of this prototype.

You need to lighten up a little, take a breath, and read what people are actually "saying" in their posts. Now I'm wondering if you were completely off base in feeling attacked to begin with in your earlier post.

So, let's just agree to move along.

ETA: "Can't fix stupid" was intended to describe those folks who don't bother or care to pay attention to the facts, and simply follow the crowd to come up with an opinion, (not of their own), which they go on to voice in the echo chamber.

If this becomes available, it may supplant S90V as my new favorite steel (after I just ordered $1k worth of the stuff...lol).

I'm guessing your thousand was well spent.....
This probably would have been 5?

Haha ... I hope if it becomes a thing, it gets Big enough to flood the market, increase availability, and lower costs

(I know, wishful thinking)

PS.....
I like the name Magnum Maximus

Riboflavin???

Haha? What's that (I haven't had my coffee yet)
