New Cryo II

Urge to go on knife buying spree rising.
You can't go wrong with one of these cryos.I normally don't mess with made in China knives but this one is an exception.I can only speak for the smaller original and it's worth every penny. If someone wants a Hinderer design folder but just can't swing the coin for a ZT right now, this knife is for you!

So... So... It's out!

Finally, but dont have the money right now so i have to wait for a month or 2 :(. Dammit!

Note to new buyers, the pocket clip came in tip down position, and it was absolutely coated in blue threadlocker. I almost stripped the screws before I looked in the frame and saw blue all over the place. I had to submerge it in boiling water to loosen it up enough to switch to tip up carry.

I've run across this in several Chinese-made knives. Although the color of the stuff is blue I think they're using the red "permanent" thread locker. I didn't know you could boil them in water to loosen them up. Thanks for that. I've been filing them down until I could use pliers to turn them out, which ruins the screws of course.

Now if BladeHQ will just get these in stock since I have had a preorder forever it seems

How about a photo of the CryoII next to a Blur?

Didnt see this, but better late than never:

Does it still have the tightest pocket clip ever or did they improve that?

I've never had any issues with the pocket clip. If anything, it's the thumbstuds that get hung up on my pocket. But that's every now and then, so I can live with it. The Cryo 1 is still one of my favorite high-value users. I hope to pick this one up soon.

How does it feel in the hand? I've handled the Cryo 1 before and it felt good, though you could tell it was small. Does it carry pretty well too?

Anyone taken one apart to see if the Cryo II has a detent-hole (I know the original Cryo doesn't)? I'd love to be able to de-assist this one without having to drill a detent-hole.

Negative it does not. I took mine apart right after I got it.

I love the design of the cryo, but I felt it was way too heavy for its size. Just felt wrong in my hand.

I found a vid on youtube,
