New Custom Sebenza is here!

Very nicely done. As you can tell by my avatar, I'm a big fan of dobermans also. I see that you're in Tn, my wife got ours in either Crossville or Cookville, I can't remember which but she's got the best personality of any dog I've met. She wins over a lot of folks that are scared of the Doberman appearance.

They did an awesome job with the silloutee of the K-9... Dogs are the best.. :D You should get a dog paw sebenza and have that as a user.

Sounds like a killer deal All In All.

I mean we are talking about a knife that will keep cutting once we're in the ground.
To have life time satisfaction with a particular blade sounds completely fair to me!

I don't need to tell you to enjoy it. Well because you had it made to your liking! :D:thumbup:

Not a bad idea, Bill:

...And it probably means more to me than it ever could to anyone else, anyway. For that reason, I'd enjoy it more w/me than just thinking of it laying in the safe....

Bingo. And if you are going to keep it for a lifetime (which is really the point of a Sebenza), I guarantee you that a knife that was carried and well used by its owner will be an invaluable heirloom to future generations. There are plenty of collectables out there, but only a few meaningful tributes to an individual's character.

Imagine kids or grandkids holding that knife saying " Remember how grampa Joe used to pull out his carving knife to whittle or cut apples? It had a picture of his favorite pet on it too. Carried it his whole life. Here it is..."

The knife below means more to me than 10 Sebenza's ever could. It was my granddad's and he carried it over a span of 40 years...

Have a great day buddy and carry that thing with you as often as you can.

That is simply awesome! I'm so very happy that you finally were able to get your "custom". It was great talking with you in private about this knife and the process of it all. Having seen this work, you have inspired me to complete my tribute knife. I had put it on the back burner, but no more. I will be submitting work to get done soon.

Outstanding!!!
I recommend that when you can send it back for a damascus blade, or before, add a dog paws bead on the lanyard.

Great Knife, We Need More Dog Lovers On Here

I'm sure there are more than a few of us here. Here's our German Shorthaired Pointer (his name is Butch, and he's smarter than most of my friends' kids!):

I have a Dobermann myself and i have always wanted a Sebenza, that is a really nice knife you have there.

It will be hard not to make it a safe queen.

Congrats on a nice knife. As for the safe queen vs user dilema, you have to at least use it to open bags of dog treats. :D

What a beautiful knife!

There is a Weimaraner at my side and a Great Dane at my feet as I type this.

Hmm, you're in East TN and hate UT? Odd location to dislike the orange; who do you root for, out of curiousity?

And no worries about that particular dog anymore, as he passed away back in 2007. My current red boy's pic is to the left of my signature. Both were/are wonderful friends. He is the King Protector of all he surveys, but guardian breed or not, he loves his little stuffed orange squeaky bear. I love it because it show the Dobe in a different light from what people are used to.

Nice knife...but that's just wrong to make that poor dog wear Vol colors.
