New Custom Sebenza is here!

Yeah, most working breeds are horribly misunderstood. I don’t ever see myself w/o a Dobe in my life, at least until I’m “carted off to the home.” I rescued our other Dobe, a natural-eared girl, from the animal shelter in Crossville, about 6 years ago.

Very nicely done. As you can tell by my avatar, I'm a big fan of dobermans also. I see that you're in Tn, my wife got ours in either Crossville or Cookville, I can't remember which but she's got the best personality of any dog I've met. She wins over a lot of folks that are scared of the Doberman appearance.

[O]ur German Shorthaired Pointer . . . [is] . . . smarter than most of my friends' kids!):

derek, I'm sure this doesn't apply to you, but I know a couple of people who had to get rid of their Shorthair b/c the dog was smarter than them. :D

Some folks have the same problem with Dobermans, too. Smart dogs.

Thanks, guys, for all the responses. In all seriousness, I couldn't be happier a bunch of you decided to post up pics of your furry friends.

Man's best friend and man's best tool kinda go together. And b/c it's helping CRK sell knives, including Dog Paw Sebbies, and lanyards and beads, I'm sure they'll approve, too.

Hate UT? No, I don't hate UT. My oldest son graduated from UT. It's just that in the almost 20 years that I have been here, I find many of the UT fans....a bit over the top, and not in a positive way (as in, so much of their personal identity is tied up with how the Vols football team is doing). So I like to poke people about it (rooting for whoever UT is playing) because it ALWAYS invokes a response. Of course, those who know me know that it is done in a good humored way, something that is impossible to convey over the internet like this.

Any way, here is my little puppy. Very friendly, but also very protective.

Dallas, you are 100% right. Thanks a bunch for redirecting my thoughts back to where they were originally when I placed my order.

The reason I spent this much for a custom was because I could assure myself that I would never, ever want to sell this knife. And it probably means more to me than it ever could to anyone else, anyway. For that reason, I'd enjoy it more w/me than just thinking of it laying in the safe.

Dobervol,

Nice Sebenza there!

I'm a bit surprised that you didn't order an extra handle slab for the safe. That way, you can always buy a plain seb (new, or buy used and potentially refurb), replace with the extra slab, and you've got your dream knife again. Makes carry of the custom unique a bit easier on mind. If Merlin did the work, he's still got the customized program, and you could still buy an extra handle slab, presumably w/o any customization charges . . .

Hey thats a nice looking Seb and Dobe. We have a 3 yr old female right now, but I have had dobes in the family since I was little. Heres our shop supervisor....

Really good looking Seb. and the Engraving sets it off just right. Carry it and enjoy as you can't see it in your Safe all the time.!
{My Blood runs Orange ~~ I know because my Dr's confirmed it.} GO VOLS.
