New Discovery survival show, "The Colony"

I have seen enough of it now. This one is really plain old stupid. Non of it or the plot! or people make any common sense. Im done after last nights show.:thumbdn: edgy
 
IMO - - its another of the typical useless 'survival' shows. I watched an episode and they spend a lot of time/energy on stupid projects rather than the basics which might keep them alive in a real scenario. They try to be 'inventive' with Rube Goldberg b.s. contraptions, when the same results could be achieved with much less input of vital resources. 'Survivorman' with Les Stroud is probably the best of the genre. But most of these shows seem to need to create 'drama' in order to hold the limited attention spans of their audiences, at least long enough to air the next commercial or flash a product they are endorsing.
(Yeah - - - I've taken real survival training - including that from US Air Force survival instructors and LE SAR supervisors & trainers. Don't waste time on these t.v. programs.)
 
The non-violent attacks from outsiders bug me, but otherwise it's an alright show. Not going to go out of my way to watch it, but if nothing else is on I'll watch it.
 
I like it a lot better than the first seasons. I dont really like the attacks from the outsiders though they seem kind of pointless
