I really enjoyed the beat down video.I guess next time dericdesmond films one he's gonna have to include a warning> For Mature Audiences Only! Plus a disclaimer that> No pot plants were harmed in the filming of this movie!

So apparently these will be out this year if they aren't already. I'm not sure about the right environment for day-glo knives...a Rave party maybe:confused::D I know some people will love them simply because they are so different and out there but I have to give em' :thumbdn:...but who knows, maybe they'll grow on me:rolleyes:

If the Bear Grylls "survival knife" and other gimmicky products to go along with it in bright orange can do well, why wouldn't a quality knife like this sell? I don't personally care for the look, but maybe there is a market for them.

when you assume...

theres no fault with supporting law enforcement.

but how can a knife be anti narcotic? its a stupid claim. We need to separate The law enforcement agency "junglas " from the knife of the same name.
It doesn't matter if they make em especially for "The Junglas"
the knife as an implement is of as much use to a coked up drug dealer as anybody else.At least they can afford one. .
As for controlling the colombian drug trade I reckon they need more than knives don't you?

Same way military, emergency response, kitchen, or field knives can be what they are said to be. They are designed for specific tasks and marketed to capitalize on this. A coked up dealer can use a straight razor or a boning knife to do bad things, but they are still designed and manufactured otherwise. The Kabar is marketed as a US military knife, while being based on a hunting knife, and sold to civilians by the thousands. US Marines still use the Kabar, and the Junglas still use the Junglas. But I'm sure a fighter for the insurgents could use a Kabar to do things just as easily as a drug lord could use a Junglas knife.

Junglas gear is a line of gear designed for a more tactical/LE/Mil use than the other ESEE line of gear, the Izula line. There is a Junglas knife and an Izula knife, but they're just one part of a whole package. It's just two names used to identify two different product lines. This is not anything new. Neither is having an LEO or soldier in advertising. Busse has a soldier looking guy on the website. Everyone's OK with this. I'm sure there are plenty of Mr. Busse's blades in service, just as there are plenty of ESEEs in service. Speaks to the durability of both I believe. I think Busse only came up because Deric is a Busse guy and used one in the video. Most folks here would love to have a Busse, but them suckers ain't cheap! As for the last line in the post above, I'm sure ESEE would sell Columbia Blackhawks if they could, but knives are easier to make and less of a headache to export. Besides, Uncle Sugar takes care of the heavy stuff;)

I came in a little late this morning. What did Corpus say to get banned? I assume it's been edited out? Just curious. Take care.

Says the shite talking fanboy. Maybe he rules in your sad little world, but here at bfs, we call his sorry arss fish food. Feel free to follow the chum.

Easy, boy. Let's stay civil. This isn't W&C so let's not take things down that path. :)

I think everyone needs to take a nice deep breath here. Busse is good. ESEE is good. Neither brand is for everyone, for a variety of reasons. Buy what you like and like what you buy.

Is this directed towards me in anyway? If so I dont know why as again, I never compared the two. The only reason why busses name is getting thrown around is bcuz esee fans are butthurt and people like you cant quit bringing them up.

No it's not directed at you. That's why it says "everyone." ;):D It's directed at the folks who keep on contesting one versus the other. My point is it's all good and we don't need all the senseless drama that this thread has turned into. If you don't like something don't buy it. And don't criticize someone else because they like it. Everyone's needs and preferences are different and all that matters is that THEY like it.

For what it's worth I found the destruction videos quite amusing, and I found the amount of abuse the EsKabar handled to be quite impressive. I wouldn't have done it if it were my knife, but it sure made for some entertainment! :)

Relax, Eric. Flexx just earned himself a prominent spot on the radar with that crack. As has been amply demonstrated, that's not an enviable place to be.

With all due respect, I don't detect "senseless" drama - other than ESEE's new day-glo green line of Narc Knives! That's some drama. Kumbaya my brothers. :D

I suppose if you're a die hard ESEE fan, thay might be on your list as collectible? Yes/No?

I've never seen this Flexx before and he has 4500 posts?

Samael, Dericdesmond's posts are as inflammatory as anyone's. Every post calls everyone "butthurt". His above post reads "Says the shite talking fanboy. Maybe he rules in your sad little world, but here at bfs, we call his sorry arss fish food. Feel free to follow the chum." He's calling members names using thinly disguised curse words. We've also had a few pro-drug posts (which are very inappropriate for any children who may be getting into knive and outdoors via the net), which would belong in the political area I believe. This thread has a few rules violations (IMHO) and I've only seen one person be reprimanded. I still don't know what he did wrong, other than being less than tactful/courteous. Yes, I'm an ESEE fan, as well as HI, Busse, and becker (and way too many others to list thanks to this place!). I don't even have any knives from the last two, but like much of what I've seen from them. Thanks.

The drama I referenced has mostly cropped up in just the last couple pages and was mostly good-humored razzing up until that point. Now various members are taking passive-aggressive cracks at each other and I was hoping to call attention to it so we can steer away from the eventual grudges, damaged sense of community, and possible infractions. :o

But I'm no mod, so I'll lay off the moderation. :D

Yes, Double-D can be a hothead. That's not breaking news. I've suggested that he relax, and hope he does.

As far as Corpus goes, there's more to the story than what you saw here. There frequently is.

Fair enough on that count. I'd change the red to "always":) I'm with 42, I prefer the destruction tests where everyone ends up high-fiving about how tough the knife(s) really turned out to be afterwards. Take care everyone.

I think those look hideous. Haven't read all the posts so I don't know of its been said or if this is even the place , LEGALIZE IT, for to many reasons to list....

To bring this back where the OP began, that new VG color does strange things to my brain. It does, however, bring back a certain memory. When I was a young man (the only people who tell me I still am are elible for discounts at IHOP and eat "supper" at 5pm:)), I got really into bow hunting. The first thing I did after getting a bow was buy a wad of camo arrows. Soon after, I was trying to figure out how to get money to buy more arrows to replace the lost ones:(. My next batch were not only higher quality and cut and fletched the way I wanted, but they were in what Easton called "Autumn Orange" with red and yellow fletching. I've still got those arrows and that was a long time ago. So, I like the orange/red/yellow knife or knife part idea. VG takes it a little far, but the ESEE pink Izula sells well, and probably doesn't get stolen much either;). I remember a post on the old ESEE forum where a guy stuck his Izula in a tree. stepped back and snapped a photo. You could've seen that pink Izula in the dark! VG can probably be seen from the International Space Station! The VG Junglas isn't on my wish list, but a VG/orange Candiru would be there. Bottom line is the Junglas is one heckuva knife in any color. Be safe everyone.
