Never thought to use oil on antler - I'll have to give it a try !

WAY more class than a generic store-bought firesteel. Nice work.

Like the walnut you mentioned, I have a bit of cherry about the same age and some yellow cedar from the 40's (never seen such tight grain on cedar!). Both are waiting for the right project...
 
Excellent! I've done a few in deer antler, but none with a huge rod like that and none of them came out quite as nice!! :thumbup:
