This will be in prouduction this Spring by Rowen. This is NOT replacing the old fire kit. It is simply a new product designed by Tom and ESEE.

We have another little feature we're gonna add to this thing when we start making them. Shon called me this morning with the idea and it will be cool. Holding that one close to the vest until they're made though.

I think you can get a scraper, a couple of condoms, a bottle of Viagra and two shots of Scotch in it!

that is awesome. i had wanted to old kit but never like the exposed rod. I will definitely be buying this kit.

Some guy just posted on Facebook that our old kit was ugly. And as I responded, ugly is what Mike and I do best. Just look at us.

What is the point of the ferro rod? I understand that they are great for starting fires and are waterproof, but what makes them superior to a lighter? I would imagine that lighters are easier to use and cheaper to manufacture. Please excuse any ignorance, lulz.

The ugly comment was me. I like everything ESEE has produced so far except the old fire kit. Hate to admit it, cause I feel like a jerk saying that.

Very nice compact design, I hope your planning on producing these in big batches, everyone will want one.

They don't run out of fluid, they don't loose their function if they break, and they work even after they have been submerged. ;)

We accept it as a badge of merit ;)

the firekits are used as an emergency fall back source of fire for when your lighter dosnt work. or you lost it or forgot it. they are fun to use to though.

i really like the new idea.

take it easy

And you just look cool and can impress all the hot women when you start a fire with a ferro rod rather than a lighter. Just about everything we build is designed to impress the good looking crazy women, nothing more.
