Those pix were showing the previous version Jerry showed us in...2010?, mebbe 2011, which was, I believe, pretty much built around his lock...the other side scale was basically clear plexiglass (or similar) to show how it worked. The 2015 proto is MUCH further along. Tried to photo it for the forum but Bossman caught me, lol. HE took a picture though...never posted it. It was very nice, both in lock function, and its look, ergos...Sick blade too. ;):thumbsup:

Maybe this will sound crazy, but what about a folder with a partial tang, aka Svord Peasant-style? Not as “tacti-cool”, but the partial tang does plus up the strength. It’s my favorite pocket knife! (Until I get a Busse folder )

With the answer from Jerry it seems like the thread is alive again, to my knowledge makes it the oldest active thread on BF.

Busse folder, 18 years in the make, this gonna be epic!

In other words, Jerry could easily crank out some numbered cs folders out of satin infi, but that knife would still not truly be a Busse. For that reason I think they'll never do it.

Maybe they could release it under another brand, if Swamp Rat or Scrapyard are not appropriate perhaps a fourth folder brand?

So is this folder out yet or what? It's bound to be released any second now! ;)

Did the Chinese writing on the paper underneath give it away?

To be honest I think I remember seeing photos of the real prototype before but can't find them now. Am I imagining this? Are there any public photos of the version previous to the 2015 one?

That's exactly why I don't think Busse should make folders. They are too big and hard use to translate into a folder. There are plenty of great folding knives out there already, so I'd rather Mr. Busse spend his time making more badass fixed blades lol.
