In case you havn't noticed they were updated today. I am posting the changes here so that we are all aware and don't get caught with our pants down.

Bumps are only allowed once every 72 hours. If you bump your thread more than that, it will be locked. Bumped threads must contain any of the following: price changes, new photographs or information, or additional items for sale.
Buyers are encouraged to ask questions, however, For Sale threads are not for product discussions. Take it elsewhere.

So all I have to do is start at 467.05 and reduce the price to 467.04 and I'm good right:p

Hmmmm First you pay for the right to sell. THEN the rules change.
Curious of if refunds are being offered.

Sort of seems like if you have rented the space with a gold membership the sellers should be able to moderate Their own threads.

Just thinking out loud here.

I hear you. It seems like this could be controlled by locking those bumping their own threads with a 'BTT' or something under the 24 hour rule, but instead, in the interest of FAIRNESS, we get the new 72 hour rule AND the stick.

Whatever... (banned smiley here)

.

"Bumps are only allowed once every 72 hours. If you bump your thread more than that, it will be locked. Bumped threads must contain any of the following: price changes, new photographs or information, or additional items for sale."

... Am I to understand that I may only bump my sale thread every 72hrs. but ONLY if I have an info change??? ...And how many new PHOTOS will be allowed per SALE thread???

You know, I didn't have a problem with the old rules truly being enforced on a level playing field. Honestly, I'm even ok with a 72 hour bump. A bump for "changes only" seems a bit much. If you are going to do that then institute a dB type listing for knives instead of posts.

Sorry, I'll only grumble about this online once but this feels like a bit off OVERmoderation for the Sale/Trade forums, applied unevenly.

Sorry, I've still got a case of the *** about this thread of mine that got locked. MY trade thread got locked for nothing I did myself and with FAR fewer posts than those that continue every day. http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=436198

Like I've told others in the past, this isn't my house: It's Spark's. It's just one I play in and visit... and support with my Gold membership for the last couple of years.

I just sent a PM in with that question for you. My regular rate is $350 an hour for non-tax work... So far you owe me $175 as I have a half hour min.

Hey so far I've got more business of this forum than VTW!

I can't believe some squaking from a few people could bring this on... Nice going punks

Looks like it applies to the Trade boards and the want to buy boards also.

Well if all the Busse gold+ members voice their opinions (to Spark & Mods) then maybe it could change back.

I didn't post this to cause a ruckus, I posted because I wanted my brothers in Infi to be aware so as not to cause any transgressions. There is already enough flack about Busse sales threads by non Bussites, without giving them more fuel for the fire.

As a prime example Glockman reopened Ducci's sale thread last night, go look at the first 2 posts in it after it opened less than 4 min apart. It is shit like this that causes others to look at us with a jaundiced eye.

I just don't get why it's such a big deal. Because of the recent whining timed myself the past two days. My first stop when I log onto BF is the production knives for sale section. Yesterday afternoon ~50 seconds to browse the ads, today ~40 seconds. That time includes clicking on the few ads that warranted extra attention.

Maybe it's just because I have god like hand eye coordination but I find it very easy to skip over recurring ads that people are chatting in or I'm just not interested in the product for sale.

So if I go in an bump a post for my friend - for no other reason than to bump it that would be ok - right??

Or if the Fakeducci came in and bumped one of Duccis posts that too would be ok - right???

Or if on the third Sunday of a month that has an "r" in its spelling it would be ok to bump a post for no good reason after 26 hrs - right??

This could:
1) be really fun and
2) get me kicked off the boards I am sure...... :)

What about a PM from some of us to the chatters? Noting abrasive or rude just a reminder that that maybe peeing on our shoes.

I hadn't noticed the rule changes, so THANK YOU for bringing it to my attention. I was about to get in my daily bump, now I guess I only have TWO DAYS to go... :thumbdn: I DID notice the Silent Knight thread, and how long that it took before an unrelated comment was posted, under 4 minutes is about right! Not good either...

Free bump for Turner111's cool post. He is a great guy!

Thanks Justabuyer - likewise I am sure!!

See we could make this new system work real well. We could just go around bumping WTS/WTT posts for each other! Keeping them at the top and they would get lots of attention!

It works for me -- lets ROCK!! :D :D :D
