New Graham...good or bad?

I bought a knife form New Graham (Buck signature series 819ss) and they shipped me the wrong (and cheaper) model (805ss). I got charged for the $140 one, and got in the mail the $95 one. I sent it back today and the guy on the phone said he would credit my account and send me the right one. What would anyone say are my odds of getting the right one? Are they trustworthy, or did I get jipped/conned? Anybody got anything good/bad to say about the New Graham folks?

P.S. I am not "the" Chuck Buck, my name is Charlie Buckalew and I wasn't aware of the "other guys" name when I chose a screen name. No disrespect or mockery intended, I'm in the process of getting a screen name change, hopefully.

Thank you

Charlie

They are well thought of on the BF and I cant say I have ever heard a negative word about them.Ive ordered from them 3 times and had nothing but perfect dealings with them.If they say they will send you the right knife you will get the right knife.

Ditto that--I have not heard even a hint of negative from them and as an online dealer for a bunch of bastids like us that's saying a lot. Mike and Co. are a top-notch class-act. If he made a mistake, he'll make good on it.

Do a search on "new graham" here in the BG&U and you'll see what we're talking about.

What they said. :) I've NEVER heard a bad word about New Graham (well, maybe except for the bandaids :p ). I've ordered from them several times and have always been completely satisfied.

Yes New Graham is fully trustworthy, this just sound like honest mistake, give them opprotunity to "make it good ."
You say Mike will credit your account, is that for payment for your return shipping cost ....... or you are getting discounted on the $140 price? Just curious, thanks -

I've been ordering knives from NGK from the start of my limited knife fetish  and I must say that I have had NO problems whatsoever with them re: knife transactions ... and I don't even reside in the USA.

They have always been courteous and understanding with me.

I am sure it was a genuine mistake and I am also sure that NGK will make good on their promise to you. Do not get too disheartened.

They are a great store to deal with I would recommend them without any hesitation whatsoever ... 11 / 10 .. if that were possible.

They are a great knife source. Very friendly on the phone and speedy service.
They will make it right. Take care,

Mike

I have had great dealings with them and have to think that they made an honest mistake.

No fear Chuck, all will work out, it's more likely that they are in such growing pains a slight mistake is possible but I've not heard of any until yours just now and they have made a lot of folks happy on these forums, so rest easy, unlike some places that intend to pull a switcheroo, these folks are not that way!

NG = GOOD. I have dealt with them on several occasions and had no problems, including one return.

Mike trys his damnedest, but no one is perfect. :(

I can assure you beyond ANY doubt that it was an honest mistake and he WILL take care of it to your satisfaction. ;)

Mike is by far one of the very best there is to deal with, period! :D

He charged me $140 and sent me a $95 item. He is going to me give me credit for the difference, when I send it back, as well as pay for return shipping. :)

I've ordered from them many times and trust them wholeheartedly. They'll make it right. Don't worry about it.

Chuck,
I think you might be a little confused (or is it me), but I think he meant that he (Mike) would credit you the complete amount of your original charge + the cost of you shipping it back. Then when the correct (higher priced) knife is sent, you will be billed your original amount again. In my internet dealings that is exactly the way it is done. I don't believe you can ask for a $45 discount on a $140 knife for an honest mistake. Mike is not making that kind of profit margin. Does anyone else see this differently?

I've had three knives sent to me here in Oz from NG, including a Sebenza, and I have been extremely impressed with their service every time.

If a mistake was made, (and let's face it, who here has never made a mistake?), it WILL be fixed.

I am also puzzeled like Greywolf, I am not sure Mike going to sell $140 knife for $95 price- that would be very kind gesture, however that would be surprising and I would not expect it. If this is so, great deal for you!!!

Charlie, Tom told me of this this afternoon. Fix is in the works.
Located one at another dealer...purchasing from him(due in our store Monday), and expediting it to you.
My appologies for any stress we caused. I know ordering online is often a roll of the dice.
Thanks to all for reassuring Charlie during this (and supporting NGK)
Much appreciated.
Wish I could say this was our first miss-pick....doubt it will be the last :o
Regards, Mike

I'd say you've got it right.
