New Grails - Pics As Promised

You know ..... hard as I've tried, I haven't been able to get these out of my mind all day. I don't think I am alone in saying that there is little I wouldn't do to acquire any one of these exquisite pieces ... and here you are, the proud owner of all four! "Congratulations" just doesn't seem to be a strong enough word. You've done exceptionally well my friend! All beautiful in their own respect ..... but the Panda Coin and the triple MOP inlay are my absolute favorites. This has to be close to a record for a single grail CRK score!
 
Congrats! Congrats! Congrats! Congrats! Not a typo, they each deserve their own recognition.:). Next time someone tells me that CRK doesn't make any custom knives, I'm going to direct their attention to this thread and let their eyes be the judge. Wow!
 
DANG! You should change the title of this thread to, "How to score grails" and it should become a sticky.
 
Unbelievable score x4, congrats and thank you for sharing them with us. If I wasn't happy for you to get such fine pieces for your collection I'd almost be envious ;D
 
I'm pretty sure I've seen a gold coin here before...maybe six months ago...don't know if it was a Panda.
 
Amazing. I've never seen the gold coin ones. Guess I've got some google time ahead of me.

Was kinda by accident that I had stumbled across these grails. I had just scored on a grail that I had been looking for, for a long time, a large regular annual sebenza and was pretty tapped out. ( will post pics of that as well )........... I bought a small regular user UG from a gentleman. He stated that he had other CRK sebenzas that he was going to list on the bay. I told him I collected CRK and asked for a pic as I may be interested in them. When I got the pic, my jaw dropped. He came up with a price. So I worked some overtime and sold my XM-24 and a small regular plain jane sebenza to help fund them. I was thankful he was willing to hold onto them for me for about a week and a half.

The first one from the top, I liked because it was just a special UG that you know Lisa or Chris came up with as its older. Nice and simple, yet elegant. If all he had was that one, I would have grabbed it up as you guys know I love my UG.

The mosaic damascus UG, I had remembered seeing one of them before, and when I went to youtube, sure enough it was Lisa's....lol. She always has such beautiful UG's, it was no surprise. Some of the info on the knife, I got from her stating that there was only 12 made. I have since dispatched an email to CRK to see if they have any special info they can add to this and the panda coin sebenza. I will post it here when I do. What amazed me is masterserg has one also, so out of the 12 made, at least 3 are in the hands of forum members. Its beautiful and certainly one to cherish always.

The next is the panda coin sebenza. This one is probably my favorite, dont know why....?? Its just so unique and rare. Even though less were made of the mosaic I find the coin sebenzas to be even rarer. I have never seen one for sale and only ever seen pics of them from OLD forum posts that are 13-14 years old.

The last one is actually probably my second favorite as I never imagined CRK would do such a design. It screams custom and not UG even. Simply amazing. The scale is as smooth as glass. Depending on how you look at it, the pearls change color. I could take 10 different pics of it and you would get 10 different colors.

I wish I could reply to each and everyone of you for the great comments. I have been collecting CRK for many years now. I know there are tons of beautiful 21 UG's out there, but there is just something so special about the regular sebenza design. And for these to be in the UG range, it just adds endless beauty to the best sebenza to date.

Sadly, I will not part with them. I have already gotten about 20 PM's and emails asking to buy or to be first in line....lol. Being a CRK Freak, I admit it, I am, there are some that you come across sometimes that you just have to keep and admire because just looking at them is so enjoyable and humbling that I was fortunate to come across such special sebenzas....................

I just feel lucky to get to see the pictures. Incredible to get 4 such great knives at one time. Wow!

Great story! Always nice when they find a good, loving home.

The Panda is also my favorite of the lot. Even my wife, who is not into knives, thought it was beautiful! I am happy for you!
