I am sad to say that I just lost my Kershaw chive that I have had for almost 10 years. This was the only pocket knife that I owned and I carried it with me everywhere I went. I joined up to learn about other knives as I try to find something to replace my lost knife. Its an odd feeling to reach into my pocket and not have my knife there. Thanks for having me here!

Will you be replacing it with the same thing or have other options started bouncing around inside your head?Need to get something quick, can't be without a pocket knife for long. You will never quit reaching for it.Good luck on the hunt.

Welcome to the site Foppa, sorry to hear about losing your knife. I think that we can all sympathize with losing a knife. This is a great community, with great people, that know a whole lot about things pointy and sharp.

I'm impressed you managed to stick with one knife all of those 10 years - sorry to hear that it got lost. I only managed to own my Kershaw blackout (which I still really enjoy using) for a few weeks before I couldn't resist trying other knives. only a couple months later, I've got the Blackout, an orange Skyline, and the 3" version of the Injection - and those are only my Kershaws! have fun finding your next knife, and your next knife after that ... and so on. So many great knives on the market these days.

Lol. I am currently using this exact story. I "lost" my american lawman and have an order for an 0566. What are you getting?

go to the leek, I like the slimmer knife and the plain steel handle is neat. Sorry about your loss of your edc.

Check your shorts you were wearing....that's happened to me before.

I wish it was still in my shorts. Unfortunately I know exactly where I lost it and it is no longer there. I am sure someone else has found my knife by now. I hope whoever found it puts it to good use.

I havent decided yet which is why I decided to join up here. I am kinda leaning towards trying a different Kershaw. Thanks for the wishes!

I have a 13 year old Chive that I too lost a few times, I think the size contributes to this. If you do find it, retire it, it has won its place in your collection.

That is good advice. If I am lucky enough to get it back I will put in on a shelf.

I am not sure what that is. Is the jungle a knife store?

I think he's talking about the shopping website named after a South American river. On Bladeforums you can only post about a Dealer who was paid a dealer membership. The South American river website has not done that so that's why it isn't called its actual name.

River, rain forest... starts with the letter A :D

Understand the jungle web site now. thanks. Can you recommend a good website for Kershaw sales? Is there a good online vendor that is reasonable on prices?

I loved my chive but several times I wished that the blade and handle were a little larger. Any recommendations are appreciated. I have looked over the Kershaw website and the following are appealing to me.

Cryo
Cryo II
Leek
Scalion
Chive
Blur - although this might be larger than I want.

I am sure that knives are a personal preference but please point me in a good direction. Also, I believe my chive was a stainless blade. I see some pictures of gray and black blades. Are these just pained or are they different metals? Should I stay away from any of these?

Thanks!
