New HI blades - call for help (attn: Yvsa, Pen, & others)

We now have the 'new' Himalayan Imports New Products page up.

Items include: M-43, 19th-century Dui-Chirra, Chitlangi, 'Pen-Knife', Cherokee Rose, Katar, Tibetan Sword

Ways to help -

Could someone who owns an HI Tibetan Sword send photos of it?
[actually, if anyone has particularly good photos of any of the HI items (not only the 'New products' but also the 'standard' offerings like BAS, AK, etc.), we could replace some of our old photos with nicer ones]

Providing better/more complete descriptions for the New Products - particularly the 'inventors' of some of the New Items, like Yvsa, Pendentive, Dave K, etc. I've done the best I can, but I suspect some others might be able to improve these.

Post photos / descriptions in this thread, or, you may email me if you prefer.
 
Very nice page, Beoram.

One small point: when I bring it up, the Dui-Chirra picture is broken.

Definitely have to get me one of the shirts.

try clicking 'refresh' on your browser?
 
Tried refresh...it's a no go. The background changes color for a few seconds and then it returns to the old page. Might be a problem on this end.

Hmm.. not sure - are you going to http://www.himalayan-imports.com/new.html ? Because we changed servers, so the pages back on khukuri.netfirms.com are 'out-dated' (though I've changed most of them to forward to the new site).

BT - you might try http://himalayan-imports.com/new.html (same address, except without the www. bit). It could be that for whatever reason your computer/internet is not 'clearing out' the old files and thus is not loading in the new pages. Or for whatever reason the DNS address record changes haven't 'perculated' through to your internet provider or whatever. Hope it works for you. Another thing you might try is, if you're using Internet Explorer as your browser, to force the computer to delete the temporary internet files - in IE,, under the top menu 'Tools', choose 'Internet Options..' and then the button 'delete temporary internet files'.

I tried a few of the links to the reviews listed on the web page (eg. katana and malla) and found them impossible to find - the link takes you to bladeforums but not to the specific thread.
 
Beo, did what you said. Still didn't work. I'm going to try at home and see what happens. I may have to reboot this computer for it to work. Sometimes, if you turn it off and ignore it, things fix themselves.

I'll be 50 in a couple of days. Do you think my need to buy these khuks is like a midlife crisis?

I love it. Best thing that I like is that there are prices listed. Ive always liked knowing prices, so that I can try and budget, but have always been too shy to bother Uncle Bill. Great job Ben:)
 
Beo, got home and had the same problem with this computer. After I deleted the temp files I couldn't even log on. Rebooted...that did the trick. Great pictures...need more money.
