What will they think of next? I hope it will be this cool though.
I was on Not Your Mama's Knives site this morning and I found the link to this- They have an actual app for their store. I know what I will be doing with all my free time now!

I wrote you a nice little review!

For anyone else, Not Your Momma's is a drop shipper...

They may take months to ship your knife!!!

Look around this forum and you will find just how bad they are, take your hard earned money and spend it elsewhere!!!

I see this is the first time you've posted on Bladeforums, Bladeboy223. What is your connection with Not Your Mama's Knives?

Strangely, he seems to be in SLC with a near match to VidKnight of BladeHQ. As is Not Your Mama's Knives.

For what it's worth, I have placed numerous orders with Not Your Mamas Knives, and they have all been filled quickly. If they do drop shipments, they're damn quick about it.

Hey, leave me out of this. I detest Not Your Mama's Knives. They steal our pictures and item descriptions and can go to hell, as fas as I'm concered. I'd be the last person on earth to do any spamming for them.

I am a representative for Not Your Mamas Knives, we are not sure who BladeBoy is, we are based in Richardson TX for pete sake. We did not SPAM the forum. In fact our only post to date was an apology to a customer who had had a bad experience a few years ago where we explained how we have been working so hard to do better. We do "some" drop shipping but more and more we carry our own inventory. Also to answer BladeHQ's complaint we DO NOT steal your photos... They aren't even any good. Why would we steal photos that have your logo all over them? I don't know why customers put up with that since they can't see the details of the knife when they look at your photos. For the last three years I have told my staff to always recommend BladeHQ when we do not have a knife they want. That will end today. We have sent hundreds of customers your way trying to be a good member of the knife community. And now you come on a forum and say we can "go to hell"? Very professional.

Again we have worked hard to make sure our shipping times are as fast as possible and right now most of our shipments go out within 12 hours of the time you order them. That is our current average. Those of you who say we don't ship for months must be referring to when we did "Special Orders" we have stopped doing those because of the issues behind them. We only sell knives that are "IN STOCK". Quit bashing us for the time it took to get your special order when we don't even do them anymore. Also our customer service calls are answered and our emails are generally answered in 10 minutes or less during working hours.

We are the only knife company with a point reward system, we are the only company with an iPhone app. We are doing our absolute best to innovate and bring value to this community.

I am sorry to those who had bad experiences with us some time ago. We have heard your complaints and done everything we can to constantly improve, innovate, and make our customers happy. We have thousands of very happy customers.

I dunno. I think those two idiots on the shopping channel late at night are the best bet for ordering knives. These "dealers" around here make me nervous. hehehehehe.... :)

I'm rooting for you, NYMK! Your website has improved a lot recently too. Keep up the great work!

Shawn

Really? Really. Even though RIGHT NOW on your HOMEPAGE you FIRST TWO images are from OUR website. I've included a screen shot of your home page to help you out.

They aren't even any good. Why would we steal photos that have your logo all over them? I don't know why customers put up with that since they can't see the details of the knife when they look at your photos.

This has got to be the most ridiculous thing ever said on the Internet.
Why would you steal them? I don't know- you tell me, since it's a fact that you do. To be clear, you only steal the thumbnails (since our large images are, you mentioned, watermarked).
But then you have the ironic gall to deride our images for lack of detail. The ones you use for some of your microtech knives are just our thumbnails! You don't even have the larger picture.

For the last three years I have told my staff to always recommend BladeHQ when we do not have a knife they want. That will end today. We have sent hundreds of customers your way trying to be a good member of the knife community. And now you come on a forum and say we can "go to hell"? Very professional.

You know what, you're right. That wasn't professional and I do apologize for saying it (I should have said "heck"). But this issue of image theft gets me so angry that I go off the deep end sometimes. I have sent your company multiple emails about these issues that have gone ignored. Thank you for the past referrals (no one has ever mentioned being referred by you). I understand if they stop.

But anyway, it's just mind boggling to me that image theft doesn't seem to bother people. We employ a full time photographer and all she does is take pictures. When another company steals those pictures it gives them a huge advantage. And then to have Shawn say "I'm rooting for you, NYMK!" is disheartening. Nothing against you, Shawn, but you're literally rooting for a company that robs us.

In any event, I don't want to be linked in anyway with NYNK. I wanted to make it emphatically clear that, despite IP similarities of the OP, we do not do any spamming on behalf on our competitors. Best to all,

Cam

True dat!

Tisk, tisk, tisk. Not cool to profit from someone else's photos.

RA, RA, RA ...... ROB? I see your point. I stand by my comments as far as quick shipping and such from NYMK, but the evidence for plagarism/theft of images is pretty plain. How about it NYMK? You've sped up your shipping and order fulfillment, now it's time to move on to improving comapany ethics. You can do it.

Your right. We were unaware of this, we had an employee who did this after being instructed not to use images from other sites, (we have our own equipment to photograph knives) he was cutting corners. Your images are being removed right now and this will not happen again.

We wish that you would have notified us the minute you saw this.

Ah yes! The old bad-employee-who-did-this-after-we-told -him-not-to! Well, I think it's safe to say that every company has one of those (for PR reasons, of course). ;)

We wish that you would have notified us the minute you saw this.

As I mentioned, we have contacted your company before on this issue. Do you have kids? Sometimes I ask my kids to do something and they ignore me. I ask again and they keep ignoring me. Finally I yell it and then do what I asked. But they look at me like, "Why did you yell at me?"

But hey, thank you for removing the pictures. That's a great step in the right direction. I'm all for fair competition. I wish you guys the best. Your point system is cool. I think we'll steal it. I'm just kidding.

And do swing by our website and have a look at images on new items (click on the main image). I think you'll find the new image viewer we added will help with the image problems you mentioned. I think we're all working hard to improve the customer's experience. Keep at it.

The boss notified me of the picture issue, and I found a couple dozen pictures that came from the BladeHQ site, they have been removed. VidKnight, our email is store@notyourmamasknives.com, when you have issues in the future, you have my word it will be looked into immediately.

To clear some of this up, I am a good friend of an employee at NYMK. I was hoping to help plug them a little, but apparently I stirred up a bunch of *stuff*.

Sorry about the spam, have spent a lot of time learning (lurking if you will) on this forum, and hope that I can contribute positively in the future.

In want to chime in here, as well. I never wanted to complain on this forum about other thieving sites, but, since this thread is started, here goes. notyourmamasknives steals from the knifecenter.com website all the time-
look at the kershaw breakout
http://www.notyourmamasknives.com/k...ic-bead-blast-blade-plain-edge-black-alu.html
compared to our image at:
http://images.knifecenter.com/knifecenter/kershaw/images/KS7000all.jpg
and that's just a fast example I saw as soon as I landed on their site.

But, as far as your innovations go, I applaud you! However, if you build your successes on other peoples' work, like stealing images or code from competing sites, you will always know that your accomplishments were not your own! You need to go through your entire data file and change all images to be your own. It may take months, but, in the end your site will be all yours and any successes, you can truly enjoy. There is plenty of room for honest dealers. Stop thieving!- HK

It's that bad employee they've got, Howard. They keep telling him not to, but he likes to cut corners ;)

There is plenty of room for honest dealers. Stop thieving and you will succeed beyond your imagination!

Agreed. I think if we can keep it clean, keep it fair, keep innovating we'll all come out ahead in the end.
