New Kershaw Blur Model

It's not S110V if that is what you are wondering, it's similar to 14C28N in sharpening. So you can knock it out on the Sharpmaker without spending hours at it.
Thanks, I can rock 14C28N on the SM more than anything else.

I kept the black clip on mine w/ the smoke green handles, although I did put a silver one on my green/CF FrankenBlur.

I just received mine in the mail and will have to snap a couple pics later, along with the new Utilitac II I received. This Blur came shaving sharp, and that stonewash blade is SWEET.

Silver or black pocket clip?

I think that looks pretty nice with the silver clip! A little contrast can do a lot for a knife :)

Awesome! Mine should get here today but I'm stuck at work. That stonewash looks just like my 0566. Very sweet, indeed!

Those that already took yours apart. Does this model has a detent hole and ball like my CF blur? It it easily de-assist able?

So, I have to admit, that I ordered this knife as soon as I saw it posted... I already have a tango blur, but had always wanted a straight edge; how could I not order it.

That said, I started doing research on the steel, and can't really get a clear opinion on the quality of the metal. One person marked it as the same quality as 440A (bleh), while the other little info I can find speaks better.

So, what is the word on this metal. Is it at least as good as the Sandvik steel? I mean, for the price, I would hope it is...

I'm going to bet BDZ-1 is going to be at least as good as the Sandvik Kershaw uses. My question was on ease of sharpening and maybe corrosion resistance, but for $65.00 If it was comparable to 440A I will be OK with that. This Blur has the makings of a really good user for me anyway, complementing a BM940 and a Sebbie.....which is a compliment in itself.

I like the silver clip, anybody know if there is a aftermarket/custom clip for the Blur series?

Most decent steel Blurs will run you around $65 in any case, so why not get one that's a neat steel in a limited run?

My sentiments exactly! Not to mention a rare-for-this-model blade shape. You don't see plain edge tanto Blurs all too often.

Agreed. I have to say, I am not a real fan of the combo edge tanto blade Blurs. But when I saw the pics of these, there was no doubt in my mind that I needed to have that knife. There aren't many rare knives from an awesome company (and an awesome BF Vendor and all around good guy Kershawguy) that will run you $65. I'd recommend getting one before they're gone, I just don't think anyone would regret it.

Also, Flarp has me considering a possible future FrankenBlur of my own! LOL That is super awesome.

^^^ FrankenBlurs are the best! ^^^

On a side note, this will be my first Kershaw stamped with the new logo. Pretty interesting times...

Agreed, same here actually. Also of note, I just sold at least one more of these. I showed two coworkers, and they were scrambling for their computers to get to KershawGuy's site to get one. My buddy was typing in his shipping info when I walked past just a moment ago. Spreading the Sweet Deal of Steel, baby! One victim at a time!!!

Nice!

This one is driving me crazy. I haven't bough a knife in a while and trying to keep it that way. At least not a $65 one. Im visiting my brother who is in the Marine Corps down in South Carolina this august and thinking maybe I can pick something up there at a discount.

But I really like this blur. Can't tell ya how many times I've almost purchased it.

I know I'm repeating myself, but it really does bear repeating. $65 for a sweet limited run knife is a hell of a deal, and it's one that I know I would have truly regretted not snagging. I mean, the Blur is a flat-out proven design as is. You could go either way with this knife, keep it a pristine collector's item, or else get it dirty. I think this knife is really going to stand out in my collection.

I love Spydercos, but at present, don't have a single limited/sprint run model because they all cost so much. When I saw that this Kershaw was only $65, it seemed a huge bargain by comparison. One other thing to note is that if you get it, and have buyer's remorse, you should be able to let it go in the Marketplace here for around what you paid after they run out. So, there's that.

FrankenBlurs are great! There have been so many varieties of Blurs released over the years -- different handle colors and inserts, blade steels, blade grinds, coatings, etc. To my knowledge, the parts are all interchangeable as well, so you can mix and match to create a more personalized Blur. My favorite is still bad_juju's toxic green Blur w/ carbon fiber inserts and composite blade.

I have never seen a composite bladed Blur!!!!! WHAAAAT?! Also, that green body is just straight sex. Wow.
