New Kershaws 2017!

Kershaw Dividend. Specs look good, could be functional and Made in the USA. They will probably get $50 from me to try this one out.

I really wish that they would stop putting speedsafe on so many of their desireable models. I think the general knife layman public really likes it though.

I like several of them. The newer Emerson colabs look good and so do some others. Kershaw seems to have done well.

I'll probably spring for a Dividend. I like Kershaw's new offerings this year, more so than recent past :)

No kidding! Put KVT in them and raise the price by a few bucks. Speedsafe is fun... at first. I'd much prefer to have KVT any day.

There are a couple new KVT flippers, not that I love the designs: Fraxion and Deadline.

Deadline looks pretty cool to me, but the art decco-ish handle seems a little off paired with the blade style. Still might have to pick one up. I was pleasantly surprised to see some manual flippers in the lineup.

emerson 10 bowie is interesting. prefer a 3.75" blade or 4"+ but, so be it. the emerson 11 i might warm up to, but still shorter blade than i prefer. the rest blah. a lot of rehash of already done stuff moddled together. very unimpressive.

thanks for posting.

I love Kershaw and KAI so don't take this the wrong way. Too many of Kershaw's knives these days seem like they are trying too hard to be different. As if that gives the knife some unique style. All these weird textures and shapes, weird milled grooves in the handle. Overall alot of their designs look overdone and BUSY!! They should stick to their more classic designs. Their Blur and Boa, Speedbump, those were all great models with nice designs.

Most of Kershaw's good knives are the ones designed by third party designers. I think Kershaw needs to stop with these wack blades and have more confidence in their products so they will sell on quality rather than flash and attention grabbing looks. I mean the knives look like aborted alien fetuses. They should go back to using Sandvick steel too. Although I actually like 8cr13mov.

If they would spend less on wacky textures, milling, cutouts and design they could put that money in the blade steel instead. Come on Kershaw none of these are design classics!

That Natrix. I haven't been this excited about a budget Kershaw in years. 8cr13mov or not, I'm excited. Not to mention it has the fuller and sub-framelock of the 0777. So reading the description of the Natrix, apparently its to get back at somebody stealing the design. Clones aside, what knife are they referring to? Certainly not the whaleshark, I assume.

Edit: Oh, the Matrix, durr

I like the new Natrix and Deadline. The rest are meh...

I wished that the Emersons are linerlock. The stainless steel framelock makes the knife too handle heavy and slick, they should make the construction like the CQC-8K, which actually feels less cheap. There is something about Kershaw Emerson's steel framelocks that just feel cheap. Looking at the CQC-6K and 7K, it almost look like the framelock is casted.

They can't be too proud of the Natrix, after all they used 8Cr13MoV.
I'm done with 8Cr13MoV.
