New Kershaws look intriguing

Yes, I did. Getting your energy back I see.

I'm halfway through a carafe of french press. ;)

I might have been interested in trying their version of the Axis lock but I don't recall seeing any examples that weren't Chinese D2 with a price tag over $50. 🤷‍♂️

If you want to talk "irony", Sandvik created one of the best budget blade steels in 14C28N at Kershaw's behest back in the day. Kershaw had exclusive use of it for years. Now, I mostly see it being used by Chinese companies and sometimes at prices competitive with Kershaw's outsourced stuff in 8Cr13Mov and D2. Coincidentally, Bestech just released a knife with an Axis-style lock in 14C28N for a couple dollars less than these new models from Kershaw.

The OTF is slightly interesting since my state just legalized that sort of thing last week. Although a Kershaw for $240 vs a less than $300 Microtech seems like an easy enough decision.

I’m a bit disappointed that it seems like Kershaw is darn near abandoning most U.S. production. :(

They did that a long time ago. But with the Launch series, their balisongs, and the remainder of their U.S produced stuff, It seems like they have more USA made knives now than any other time since the early 2000s or before.

That’s fair. Autos aren’t legal in my state so I ignore those releases more often than not.

I was hoping all of the recent U.S. made sprint runs were a sign of future things to come from Kershaw. :(

Wow, nice. I have not owned/handled a Kershaw, but always wanted a Launch auto - Magnacut, the Yin to the Yang that is Cruwear PM?
Sounds dope, pretty sick, you know. I can FW it. In short, I faux widdit.

Why no Kershaw? Never got to it. There are models that sound very viable, like the Leek. Why the need for that when you have a RAT and a GRIK? Maybe the 20CV steel?
The OTF is probably fine. I have only a partial grasp of why people go so nuts after them. I have a nice little UTX-70 and I enjoy that, maybe sometime this year, a full size Microtech. I hope one of you Virginians go test the Kershaw, I'd be interested.

Unless my money is needed for something else when it's released, I'll be one of the first to buy a Livewire. The blade shape looks perfect for me, being similar to my Launch 11, which I love.

More axis locks knives… yay 😐

To me, the iridium looks like competition for the Benchmade bailout especially based on the specs.

The irony of a wall of text post after telling us that you don't have the energy is humorous.

I ordered two Duralocks to see the Kai take on that design.
I like the new fixed blade too.

I am also ordering a Dura-lock too check it out

So much better than last year’s release. I remember the “Federalist” was their big announcement last year, a Slipjoint! 🙄
I’m happy to see they are listening to what people want, doing a badass fixed blade (ZT), and that Iridium looks pretty interesting for the price.
If that OTF was double sided I would 100% be buying one. Great to see them using Magnacut finally too!
I’m my opinion, after last years disappointing releases, they are coming back full force. I predict we will see a lot of interesting stuff from Zero Tolerance this year…. Hopefully some magnacut sprints of popular models to go along with that 0006, and maybe even an upgraded version of the new OTF!?!? Glass is half-full IMO.
We will see

The OTF looks quite nice, I have wanted to pick one up but at over $300 for most worth buying in that size, it’s not likely for a while. However at $230 I may just get one.
The HK and hogue autos are not visually appealing to me, and a microtech in that size is approx $100 more.
How are the heretics?

Don't really care for autos.
Don't really care for made in China.
Don't really care for D2.
To sum up: Don't really care.
At least you are concise.

I am happy that Americans are designing knives and trying to make a living selling them.
That is why I am on a knife forum. I like knives.
