It looks like they're on the right track, for sure. If only they'd come out with some knives in 1095, I'd be right in line to buy a couple.

Are all of the knives shown prototypes?

The reason I ask is, not one of the knives on their website has a tang stamp .

You'd think a new company would want to get their name/logo/image out there ASAP and put it where we all look for it.

Yes those are protos. They have not even started production yet and are looking for input at this time. I am sure there will be tang staps, boxes all the good stuff.

I love the designs and not-too-large sizes. If they get produced in 1095 or D2 they can count on my orders. Looks good, and thanks for the heads up.

Will they have their wares at Blade Show ? If so, I may be able to fit them into my busy schedule. :D

Very nice Bastid, thanks for sharing this with us...I definitely will be giving them a call tomorrow morning about a few inquiry's...

Gotta have a long talk with that boy some day. :D.

Always good to see new knifemakers coming out and they have some great stag on display that's for sure. Any idea when some pricing info would be available?

I made a phone call today to Amherst but only got an answering machine from a company that was not going by the title of Amherst cutlery. Hopefully someone will call me back or point me in the correct direction. I have got to get me one of those cotton samplers they have pictured...:)

Friends,

Same thing happen to me today. I called numerous times, and thought that I got the wrong phone #, (the message says that you have reached some manufacturing company). I finally left a msg, and I do hope someone calls back. I would be very interested in one of their custom prototypes!

I wonder if they are all at the Blade Show?

Sunburst and 2Shot,

Have either of you received a call back?

My immediate questions are:

Where were these produced?

By whom were these produced?

They have a rep at Blade, the prototypes look very nice. He was tied up with someone else and I didn't get a chance to ask him any questions. May have to follow up tomorrow...

Awwww.... No carbon?!

I got all excited until all I could find was stainless blades. And I agree they need a nice serpentine jack.

Hey there Sunnyd,

Are ya ready for another Florida summer scorcher, nothing like leaving for work at 6:00 am in the morning and sweating by 6:05 am...:D

They did call me back and say that they were at the Blade show and that I would be contacted late next week...

I like what I saw at Blade. But I hope they don't put too much concentration into handles like mammoth. Although it's neat, I don't see it as very durable and user friendly. But I think they are off to a good start.

I think they are off to a good start too Campbell, the stag they are using is exceptional and they have a lot of it and that was good to hear and see.

I think we have a new candidate for a forum knife that we can include in our decision. Limited high quality runs would fit right into the plans they have.

Guys, no small knife companies are going to be answering the phone during Blade since they are at the largest show of the year. :D. Same with a whole lot of knife makers too. ;).

They just have prototypes right now, but they have the fit and finish down as well as the blade grind nice flat grind to almost 0 degrees.

Tim spend a lot of time studying old patterns and they plan on resurrecting some patterns that have not been around in any kind of quantity for a while. I really enjoyed meeting both gentlemen. You can tell the passion is there and I also saw a couple of other things they did that tells me we are going to see some good things from them if things can all come together. I also noticed they spent quite a bit of time with a young boy and made sure he left happy. ;)

And yes they are thinking about a peanut pattern too!

Friends,

Yupperie, I got a call back yesterday. I will talking to them when they get back towards the end of next week!
