New Knives and some look on workshop (WIP)

what kind of speed control is that? I really like the size ans they say it doesn't lose torque(BTW if you want to read what they say just copy and paste the words into Google translate or something like it)

Probably I'll buy this WARCO Surface grinder in next couple of months.

For making folder knives what is better for Surface grinder, Grinding wheel or grinding belts?

And someone can help me with info about HT of 1065 steel ??

Hello,

I'm thinking now to get my own knife kiln.

The Paragon KM-18D with:
- upgrade 3-key to 12-key ,
-usb port (inc software)
- gas inlet
- solenoid connected to 12-key
- black
- s-type t/c
- mercury relay

Will be a good choice ?
Probably I'll get it, in couple of months (collecting $$) from UK distributor.

Lookin' good. I too am intrigued by the grinder. Does it have variable speed? I just saw an on/off switch.

With VFD this grinder have variable speed :)

Mostly shipped with additional charge with Siemens Sinamics V20 VFD for 240V 50Hz AC 1 phase.
Grinder run on Siemens 1,2kW 2485rpm 3phase engine. ( this engine with VFD works in 3x 230V mode, without VFD you need 3x380V) + about 250$ you have a nice base frame with place for VFD.

Couple of blanks profiled and drilled ( and one tapped for M5)

M390PM 4,3mm - Metro - tactical knife ) will be with M5 screw mouted G10 black - toxic finish, blade sandblasted + stonewash ( or acid + stonewash)

80CrV2 3mm 2 Bushcrafts, 1 drop point and 1 small sheepfoot and 1 drop point :P

Hello everyone in this sunny day :D

From time to time, I was thinking about to make my own Slipjoint knife, and finally I started making prototype :)
3mm 80CrV2 steel + 3,5mm G10

For v.2 slipjoint I'll use Bohler N690 2,5mm steel. Acid etch + Stonewash :)
And 1,5mm Titanium 6Al4V for liners, sandblasted + anodized, but now I thinking abour spring material.
Scales probably from Black G10 or C-Tec.
For spring can I use N690 or 2,5mm Titanium?
Washers = Nylatron GS 0,28mm or 0,51mm , Screw pivot assebled, to give chance of cleaning knife :)

Some tips ?

Working on those 3 Skylark-T :)
