Holy Guns Harrish!
That is awesome. Looking at getting something for the wife and I after we are licensed soon.
Any recommendation for something with an easy trigger pull and low kick back for my wife. She can kick my butt but no way does she have man hands.

After much thought and deliberation, I settled on a S&W Shield in 9mm for my wife. I don't care for .380s and given most are blowback they recoil as hard or harder than a 9.

I have a Shield that I have done some custom work to, but they are 100% reliable, very accurate and easy to shoot. I have at least 1K rounds through my Shield and it has been flawless. I prefer it over my Glock 43. My wife is recoil sensitive and does not seem to mind the recoil of the Shield too much.

But it is a 9mm and does recoil. If weight and size are not an issue, go with a full sized all steal 9mm. I prefer any of the older S&W 3rd gens with steal frame.

Whatever you do, do not get your wife a lightweight snubby 38. I have many S&W J Frames and shoot them very well, but they are not for beginners as many think. Recoil is brutal and will turn any new shooter off to shooting. I have taken many people out for the their first time shooting over the years, and no better way to scare them off than a light weight snubby 38.

You made a great choice for your wife. The Shield is a sweet shooter. My wife rocks a Ruger SP-101, 2 1/4" barrel .357 mag.

I started with a 187RMP, and bought a 187DP a month later. That was around a year ago, I just now bought a full size Praetorian and am loving it! Thumbs up to whoever mentioned the Marauder! That is by far my favorite Medford, I would be tempted to trade all 3 of mine for that or an all ti Praetorian! Congrats dude!

Can you post a pic of the encased stop pin. Id love to see what you mean. Only if you have time, sorry to ask.
I like how on the general the stop pins on the blade are hidden into the handle once you open it. Really cool feature.
Does any body have some pics of a general next to his others?

The Gen and the Midi Marauder are the two I like.

I'll try to get a few pic's of that detail. Basically it is like the General except the frame/scale on both sides fully encases the thru-blade stop pin, so the stop-pin travels thru milled semi-circle slots in the titanium frame - creating both "stop" positions by the ends of the slot. In this way, the stop-pin engages the titanium frame nearly 180 degrees at both closed stop and open stop (rather than just butting into the stop-pin at 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock, if my verbal hieroglyphics make any sense).

Thank you for the advice on what to grab the wife OP.
The info means alot and I will use it to do my research.

Officer, thank you. The way you explained it I know exactly what you are talking about. Same thing on the buck vantage force. Obviously on a different level. But the concept.
I would have a general by now if it were half as much new, but I don't see spending that kind of cash for a few more years anyway.

Here's a few pic's from my phone:

This shot shows some of my favorite contours on the Arktika design, it is so "grabbable"; works fantastic with gloves one too.

Good to know the Arktika handles better that it would appear to. I feel the same way about the Praetorian T, at first it was "man jewelry" to me but when you play to its strengths, it is an effective tool. The weight and geometry of the blade make it a wicked chopper.

Agreed, I had a blue Praet T and wish I would have kept it. This Arktika is my first .26 bladed Medford and I really, really dig it. I'm carrying it in my winter Carhart jacket and it is easily the best folder for gloved hands I've ever used.

Thanks to a member on the forum here, I just added this beauty to the collection!
