New Model - Bourbon Street Skinner

that one is awesome Andy.. i love the design.. definitely has some nice curves to it..

Should have kept the name in state :) Plenty of streets in downtown Atlanta you could have named this wicked knife after - Simpson, Bankhead, etc. Or better yet the bad karma area known as the Bluff! Yeah, I know.... not as sexy as Bourbon street. Sweet knife Andy!

I think it is the coolest looking Fiddleback I've ever seen!!!
And now I have one more on my wish list.
If only I were wealthy.:(

Don't believe Andy would do it. You would need to have a 3rd party do it, which would probably void your warranty..

I don't know if Andy actually sharpened the top edge or not, but It seems like he did a dagger-ground one.

Those look great Andy!

Oops! Just realized this was an old thread.
But they still look great.

Thread revival! any chance this could be double edge?

I sharpened the back grind on a knife one time. I didn't like the change at all. The grind on the back side is thicker at the edge, and it took quite a bit of re-grinding on the touchy part to get to edge thickness. I don't make them this way, and don't re-grind the completed ones to add this. Short answer is no. I dont do this.

Here's my Bourbon Street Skinner with the top swedge done by Andy. It could be sharpened, but I'm with Andy about how it would change the look due to the thicker geometry of the top grind. Heck, I like it just the way it is! May not have a lot of functionality, but sure makes me grin when I hold it.:D This one and my dagger grind Sneaky Pete let me drift off into imaginary covert ops scenarios.

I definitely want to ad one of these eventually, and I think in natural G10 over natural canvas, because it puts me in mind of the knife the desert dwellers used in the Movie (and book) Dune.
