Bowman1911, forgive me for asking if this is a sore subject but I have to ask how did that happen? Best wishes on a speed recovery, though.
Not a touchy subject at all! I'm 100% sure I initially injured it at work, I work in a state psyche hospital. I have to fight with, & pick up men anywhere from average size up to way above average size, and there's been plenty of times I felt like I pulled a muscle in my forearm & not thought anything about it. Well, about a month ago, my wife went up to Pigeon Forge with her sister & niece for the day & asked me to take the dogs over to petsmart to get 'em all a bath, they go about every 6 weeks. We've got 3, 4 legged younguns' & Dukes my big boy. I like to load him in the truck first as he's got the most energy, & has to go in the big box closest to the cab. They're outside dogs. We've got an above ground chainlink fence to keep out a-holes, & and an underground dog fence that runs the perimeter & horseshoes around the house & driveway. Keeps the dogs out from under wheel & away from the fence so they're harder to steal. Anyways, I took Duke's electric collar off & replaced it with his travel collar. I picked him up, & was carryin' him across the line, & as I said he's got the most energy, he started wigglin', & my left arm just went straight. It made this sound like a beer can crunchin' & I yelped like a dog that had just been beat! I didn't drop the dog, but I definitely fell to my knees. I keep an elbow brace in my bag in the truck so I threw it on & continued about my day. It hurt so bad, (pardon me in advance), that if it hadn't drawn up inside me, I'd have peed myself! Then the next day, the pain went completely away & my arm started to bruise. From above my elbow all the way down to the wrist. Then I figured something was really wrong! I flexed my bicep & you could see it hangin' off!

Wife got me an appt & I had surgery within 8 days of the incident. Long story short, I couldn't, & wouldn't try to turn it in on workman's comp, but if I did it would've taken too long for them to react for me to even have the surgery (it has to be done in 6 weeks or it can't be done).
This here's Duke that day after his bath.
