New Native4

I just bought a Caly3 ZDP189. It is a really nice knife, however.. That was before I saw this Native4 in the Spyderco 2008 mid-year product supplement. Man is it beautiful knife. Flat grind, Carbon Fiber, lanyard hole, VG-10, and love that full coil! It's not out quite yet. Hopefully I'll be able to trade my Caly3 for one.... to one you guys!:D

Me want Native4.


What is it with this "knife" business? There is always some new knife me want. Where me is going to put it when it gets here is the problem! :D

I can usually get 3 or 4 in each back pocket, along with the normal 2 in each front pocket.:D

I agree, me want Native 4 too!:thumbup:

Native-Vg-10
Caly3-ZPD189

Native- lanyard hole
Caly3-no lanyard hole

Native- full coil
Caly3- half coil

Native-nicer blade style. IMO
Caly3- more leaf style.

Beter egronomics IMO
 
I'm really liking the native 4.

If it feels good in my hand, it may just be my dream knife (within my price range of course)
 
The Native 4's a very nice knife & I'll probably end up getting one. However, it's not the Caly 3 that I compare it to, but the Sage. The handle & full choil seem shaped more similar to the Sage than the Caly 3 (IMHO, of course).
 
Good point. But I just bought the Caly3, so It's all I have to compare. I think the the Native4 beats it.
 
why have they gone from CPM-S30V on the Native 3 to VG-10 on the Native 4? the S30V was a big selling point for me on the native 3, and the FRN handles to keep the cost down. Not sure where this knife fits into their scheme.... but it will still be nice!

Huh?
Native is S30V
Native 3 is VG-10
Native 4 is VG-10

I like VG-10 better, so I'm happy. :D
 
oh my golly gosh... thats damn nice... I dont really like the present natvie as much as a caly 3 for example, but this new native looks "PERFECT"!!!! i need one....
 
Oh, I want one, but the only price I have seen is $137 and that is at the store that sells the cheapest! :eek: I'll have to wait. For comparison the same store sells the Sage for $81.
