I'd like to get feedback on this new design. I wanted to do something different today as I've been busy just working on orders lately. This is the first knife I've ever designed to be a neck knife. The overall length is 6" and the cutting edge is 2 1/2". The steel is O1, 1/8" stock. I've never made neck knives because I don't wear them myself but quite a few people do like them, especially in this forum. Please let me know what you think, good and bad. Thanks.:thumbup:

Ray, that is fantastic. I would call that the perfect necker. I love the beveled edges.
Great lines as always on your knives.

Looks good, the only necker knife that I have is a Krein TK1, and I can't stand it around my neck. I've got a mini teklok for it, and I love wearing it that way. It's part of my EDC rotation. I really like the blade shape on this one though, and the beveled holes are awesome. My TK1 has thin scales.

I'd take one!

Nice. very clean looking.

Not a neck knife guy either. I bought one of the cheap CRKT Krein Dogfish to try 'em out. Decided kneckers just aren't my thing.

that is a great lookin knife Ray. I like it alot. Make it just a tad bigger, say 3 inch blade and 3.5 inch handle and id be sold...hint hint...

I love it. It's perfect. Please PM me when you have one to spare! I love broad blades, lots-o-belly. I also like that it's drilled for weight and aesthetics but there is still steel to hold onto. Very nicely done :thumbup:

Ditto :thumbup::thumbup:

That's a great design for a neck knife. I might go for a wharncliffe profile, but that's just me. I've really been liking that blade shape lately, especially on smaller knives.

Shorter than the Project W????

It's a bit smaller overall than the Project W. I guess the PW was my first neck knife but I credit Jake for that design. The PW is a stout little knife that I'd take to the woods for some hard work. This new one is more of an EDC type. Both knives can also be carried on a belt if you don't like neck carry.

Cool. I like the Project W's size a bit better. Your knives are awesome, Ray!

Similar, but differant in length, width, and thickness.:thumbup:

I see the differance, and I like em both, truth is, mine is a bit heavy for a neck knife. I wanted something to replace my folder, and be able to wear on neck if I wanted. But with the cool loop Ray made for it, it hasnt left my belt.:thumbup:

The weight might bother some, but I like it just fine.

Great little slicer Ray.:thumbup:

I like them both, but the one Mr. Williams posted is more my style blade wise. E mail me when your gonna let that one go, I will buy it.
